Hi friends!

I'm not new to vaping, but I am new to this forum. I've been vaping for 3 years and fully off of cigarettes for about a year (it took a while for me to fully switch over). After three years of vaping, I feel as if I've taken a step back and joined this community to seek out if maybe this wasn't just me?

Recently I stopped rebuilding. The main reason being that it was becoming more of a chore than "Yes, another Clapton build!".

I picked up an all-in-one device to kind of bring back the simplicity of vaping without having to fiddle with anything and I can say that I really like it - but it's no way comparable to a dripper experience. I love it though because I don't have to worry about coils, cleaning out tanks, charging a crazy amount of 18650 batteries, or dropping a really expensive device to find it broken.

Anyone have any suggestions as far as plug-and-play devices that would work? Right now I'm using the Digirette system. Like I said, it's decent, but at $7 a cartridge it brings me back up to my smoking budget instead of the vaping budget. (I even started cracking out my old joytech ego ones *gawk*)

Also - If anyone is going to VCCT 16 in Tampa this year, I'll be there! :D

Hey, KosherVapes. Welcome to ecf! My idea of "plug and play" is a bit more involved than yours - but it, too, is the result of deciding I wanted simplicity :). I now use two devices, neither of which is a cloud machine: the BilletBox rev.3 (rev.4 is soon to be released), and a ProVari/Kabuki combo. They're both on the higher end, but work flawlessly and produce an extremely flavorful vape. Not suggesting these would be right for you; only suggesting that there are more folks than you might think who want easy peasy! Best of luck to you in finding your perfect setup. :thumb:

Hi and welcome. I don't really know of a "plug and play" system where you don't have to futz with it at all. If you don't mind changing a prefab coil now and again, the Kanger Topbox kit is a good, medium priced one. They also make the Nebox, which is most similar, but has a built in tank instead of one screwed into the top of it. You still have to change coils every now and again.

Thanks everyone for the welcoming posts!

It is relieving to hear that. I feel like the more years you've vaped, the more advance of a set up you should have; however, it's turning out not to be the case. I think I'm just surrounded by a bunch of friends who believe that. But I will puff happily on my Digirette. Even if it is costing me $7 a day.

I have a Topbox. :) It's not a bad device. In fact, I love almost all of Kanger's kits. Nanobox, Topbox, Nebox (though I don't own a Nebox)... and I don't mind the coil changing. That's basically inevitable if I'm venturing away from the expensive disposables. I'll have to put in an order for more replacement coils. I thought I had an extra pack, but after digging around, I'm thinking I don't.

Thanks so much for the tip, though!

Any time. I just like it as a decent quality, fairly flexible, moderately priced chunk of gear. It works just fine, and can be set up a number of different ways, but it isn't so expensive you kick yourself for 6 weeks if you drop it or break it or it gets stolen.

Right?? I really think that (after VCCT) I'm not going to be into buying those more expensive pieces. I'm just really rough on my devices and I either end up losing them, breaking them, or scratching them. And a $200 mod doesn't look as cool with scratches and dents on it.

Ditto. I have some nice mods, mostly mechs-- I do love me some well built mech mod-- but they don't leave the house. The one I carry around is an SX Mini M I bought used on the classies here :)
