I just wanted to say hello to everyone on EFC. I've been a "looker" for a while and thought I would finally chime in.
I haven't smoked an analog since Jan 6th and I owe it all to ecigs! I didn't think there would ever be anything that
would take the place of that awful habit! I started out with the basic 900 and C4 and graduated to a twist, and then a
taste vw3 with aspire bdc , and now a MV2 with i30s. Now I'm eyeing the mechanicals and rda's!

I've tried my hand at rebuilding the pro-tank 2 and did ok with it, I think I just need more practice.
Anyway, Hello!!

Hey Gagirl! Congrats on making the switch and doing so well! Glad you joined the community, lots of great folks here. I finally, after 15 months, purchased a mech. Kinda nervous about it cuz' it takes a lil' know how. I've been reading alot on it and what's all needed so I made sure to get a voltage meter along with it. Got my high drain batteries from a reliable source as recommended. I'm not doing it to chase clouds, just want whatever I build to work, LoL. I do some higher ohms for my other mods so I can enjoy some delicious flavor while I wait. I've never tasted my juice to this extent. I still like my cartomizers though. I just wanna know how to build coils. I'm trying my hand at using SS mesh wicks. These are a bit tricky although I've been getting them to work. I'm just not good enough yet. Cotton is easy, I can handle that, :). Enough about me, sorry. If you have any questions or wanna jump in and help someone out feel free that's what this forum is all about. Good Luck and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I definitely have the vapor bug! I guess I'm chasing that perfect taste, and can't quite seem to get it!
I thought that maybe an RDA would be my answer? I read where everyone raves about how much better the flavor is with them!

thats where i am in my vaping journey...i have found (and i am sure many will disagree) buying the real deal instead of clones pays off in the long run. absolutely fantastic RDA's can be had for around $80. the Patriot and Brass Monkee are my favorites in this price range. yes it is really true. the vape can be tailored to your specific wants/needs, same with flavor. i can never go back to regular atomizers. if you do decide to go the rebuildable route read everything you can regarding safety (use only quality IMR batteries) and watch about a million youtube video's on making coils...then it's practice and more practice. most rewarding aspect of this hobby next to feeling like a kid again! so my advice is reasearch ,buy the good stuff and keep safe and you will have the best possible vaping experience in my opinion...

I've watched lots of youtube videos on rebuilding, that's what got me to try rebuilding the Protanks, but it still doesn't seem to be enough for me! LOL! I think I am going to have to bit the bullet and try a RDA. Now to figure out which one to start with… decisions.. decisions. LOL! Can't wait to try!!!

If you don't mind a suggestion, try an IGO-L. They are easy to build and quite affordable.

Welcome to ecf and I so glad you started posting instead of just looking. It is a lot of fun and it is nice to have a place that you can get the answers to just about anything you can think of about vaping.

I wasn't sure if I would like dripping but I started out on the igo-L and it is so easy to build and has wonderful flavor. I actually have 3 now and I'm waiting on a Kayfun Lite. But the igo-L is a great little dripper IMO.

Congrats on no smoking since January. Sounds like you are doing great. Isn't it wonderful? I really enjoy vaping. Only regret I have is that I didn't try it sooner. Good luck to you and happy vaping. :)

Checking in from the north side of town. I went from a cig a like to a decent carto tank to a genesis style to a kayfun to an RDA. There is a steady progression to each step. They have each been more satisfying than the previous. My current RDA absolutely has the best flavor, hands down.
We should maybe set up a vape meet sometime...?
