Hi yall, my name is Deb :) I am from Hawaii and am, as of yesterday, a non-analog smoker of one month after 31 years.

I had no intention of quitting, really, but moved into an ohana (guesthouse) that didn't want a smoker, so I went to my local Volcano dealer and bought an Inferno, and a few bottles of 24mg Menthol to try and replicate smoking, just so I could survive the times while at home. The minute I pulled out of the drive each day for work, I would fire up my regular menthol light and smoke all day at work, etc. I got by.

About 6 weeks ago, I came to realize that I actually liked vaping, and bought a LavaTube. I started getting into it. I actually got sick of the menthol and tried a few Volcano juices, which were, well, meh. But I saw some potential. I am a single mom and money is tight, so thought, well maybe lets dive into this a little further to see if I can get off the smokes completely.

Then I got sick. I got MRSA in addition to a Staph infection in my hand (flesh eating bacteria), and it was life threatening. I work at the airport here on Maui and handle baggage all day, so yeah, I get torn up. And exposed to who knows what. I went on antibiotics that turned me upside down, and was scared. So I figured, I already feel like crap, why not try quitting now....I'll never know the difference between quitting smoking withdrawals and everything else going on, right? Plus, I found an outstanding local dealer of homegrown juice, which I love.

So it was a month ago yesterday. In the meantime, I have acquired 2 more Infernos (trying to be stealth and work) and two more Lavatubes (enjoying the "hobby" at home).

And yesterday, on my one month, when I realized that I really like vaping much more that I had thought, and even more than real life smoking, I treated myself to ordering a mini Provari. I am counting the minutes until it arrives. This forum will be the death of me financially, for many reasons. And I never thought this would become a hobby. I just started as a smoking cessation. I have a suspicion my story is not uncommon here ;)

In any case. Glad to be here. I am on Facebook and would love friends. Mostly to talk me down from diving into all these branches I see sprouting from all the devices, if you know what I mean.

I have enjoyed the hours of browsing here, figured I might as well come out of the woodwork and join in :)

to ecf Deb. Nice to meet you and so glad that you are here. Just a wonderful place as far as I am concerned. A huge congrats to you on the vaping. That is awesome. Continued success to you. Have fun and make yourself at home. Don't hesitate asking anything here. Always some pretty wonderful people here that want to help. I know. . . I still need it. Happy vaping.

Thank again for the warm welcome! I feel all warm and fuzzy! I received my Provari Mini yesterday, and like many, I wish I had known about it in the first place. Now I am stuck with 3 LavaTubes and 3 Infernos I'll never use again. The Provari is amazing! Today I came across a tank I like for the aesthetics, but it seems to not work on my mini, it's an Aspire ViviNova BDC 1.8 S-Glass. Love it, but I guess I'll stash it for now. Other than that, I am super happy with the Provari and am fixing to order a full size one for home, as the battery is seeming to last me about 4 hours. And I have the Aspire Nautilus 5ml tank which goes in about as long while chain vaping, it seems that I am burning through juice really fast. Is that normal? I am vaping at about 4.9.
