Just took delivery of my first e-cig- an E-Go CE4 purchased from Liberty Flights in the UK. Excited to get started!

I had a question about Clearomizers and costs - I was a light smoker during the week (1 or 2) and then a heavier smoker at the weekend (a pack or 2) and I thought I'd take the E-Cig route to try and kick them all together. How often will I be buying Clearomizers? I've heard they can only last a week or 2, and when they run for £5 each and factoring in shipping to Korea and the low cost of cigs here, I'll end up losing money trying to kick them!

Anyway, looking forward to joining the discussion. Just got to get my 5 posts done so I can head to the Korea forum!

Hello and welcome.

Clearos can be cleaned and reused. And it will depend on the ejuice as to how often that needs to be done. Try to buy more than a couple since shipping will be the same for many as it is for one. Try an CE 5 or a mini protank(with replaceable heads.) I have a protank and have filled it many times in the 3 weeks I have been using it. It still vapes as good as the day I got it. LIke I said it depends on the juice to determine when to clean. The darker ejuices tend to gunk it up quicker than a clear juice. And the levels of pg/vg determine how thick or thin the juice is. I use a 50/50 mix, so I get the best of both.

Hope this helps a little.
:)

Hi ssmudgerr and welcome to the forum.
Cartomizers and clearomizer are not the same thing. A cartomizer is smaller and contains polyfill. An example can be found here.http://fasttechcdn.com/products/150/1500601/1500601-2.jpg
The protank is clearomizer/glassomizer like this http://fasttechcdn.com/products/144/1448000/1448000-3-thumb.jpg
The battery you mention is most likely an ego battery like this one http://fasttechcdn.com/products/148/1489402/1489402-3.jpg This is 510/ego compatable and you can use it with a protank but you are best off getting replacement heads that are 1.8 - 2.2 ohms similar to these http://fasttechcdn.com/products/147/1479300/1479300-4.jpg
hope this helps and good luck

Wow, there is so much I need to learn.

I'm sure there are many different answers and opinion on this topic, but what would you consider the most cost-effective route to take? I really like the way this E-Go vapes - although it is my first one, granted - but I don't want to have to keep buying new clearomizers every few weeks, which I believe I might have to do, right?

My friend look at you tube how to clean "your clearo" and dry burn. This is not a difficult business take apart your clearo, wash them under water (Strong and warm should be best) take the head away wash it under water (Beware the wicks they are vulnerable) let them dry (Thus you should have a spare one) when they are dry put the head on its place and mount it on your battery (without cap and glass) push the button for 3 seconds wait 2 seconds and repeat until you dont have any smoke and the wire is orange bright than mount cap and glass there you are. You have a new clearo.
Even than you dont have to get more clearos but spare heads. Once you master this you will learn to build wicks and coil too. (again a you tube business :))

Welcome! What part of Korea are you in? My mother and her family is from Busan :)

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

I'm in Bucheon, south-west of Seoul. Lived close to Busan a couple of years ago. Nice place.

Thanks for the advice on the cleaning. So it's realistic to grab a couple more clearos, maintain them, and keep this thing running for a while? What are heads....?

These are heads they contain the heating coil that vaporizes the liquid and they come in different resistances. If your using an ego battery your best of using a 1.8 or 2.2 ohm head.
4014 Electronic Cigarettes at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping where I copied the picture link from has a wide selection of clearos to choose from fairly cheap and free shipping. They ship out of Singapore at least thats where mine shipped from.
An evod or t4 clearo and a 5 pack of heads can keep you going for months with any luck.

This forum is awesome. Thanks for all the quick replies and patience!

I'm going to test that patience with one more question.

Evod and t4 are types of clearo? And they will fit with the Ego CE4 that I have already bought? I can find Evod but not t4 at that link you provided.
