I'm glad to have found this forum as I have a lot to learn.
I have been a smoker for about 45 years. It's real easy to give up, I've done it dozens of times
Whatever I tried, patches, pills, cold turkey..I was still looking for my next smoke and at the slightest excuse, reverted back.
I had heard of e cigarettes, but in this country, they make it real difficult to find them without travelling all over the city.
Finally found places in the country that I could buy from over the net..but without nicotine.
The law here says you can buy ecigs but if you want nicotine, you have to import it from overseas in limited amounts for your own use.
It makes it a bit hard to get started (exactly what they have in mind I would think)
However, I found one NZ site where I could buy cigalikes and also nicotine flavours..as long as I don't buy them at the same time!
I don't know how they get away with that but I'm grateful for it.
So I had to place two orders at the same time, one for the battery and charger, the other for the cartomisers, sent seperately!
That was two weeks ago, I love it. I haven't touched an analog since they arrived and haven't wanted to.
In two weeks, my hacking cough has gone, my wheezyness is reducing every day and my wife says that I smell much better
It appears from my limited knowledge that I have bought a 808 type of battery with a cartomiser. From what I gather since, not the best of vaperisers but it has got me started. My second order of cartomisers is on the way and I have just ordered ejuice from europe that I hope I can refill my cartomisers with. The freight to here is crippling and pretty slow but still cheaper than analogs.
After a lot more reading of the forums, I will then be ready for a better vapouriser and mixing my own ejuice.
