I'm a newbie vaper from Australia, and I've been receiving a lot of help and guidance over at our Aussie vaping forum.

I just wanted to join up here to keep across the FDA Deeming stuff, which is really awful and scary, but not really front page news in Australia.

Anyway, us Aussie vapers are feeling for you USA folk at the moment. We're really hoping you can get the grandfather date brought forward at the very least.

FDA is bad news for us too.
Our sheep in the gov. tend to just follow big brothers example. If we challenge them on it they simply point south. Ain't purdy.

It's an oddity for us. We're famous for doing stupid stuff like this. Our "War on Drugs" is 45 years old; we've spent over a trillion dollars pursuing it; jailed neatly 50 million people, about half of whom were for simple possession crimes; killed an unknown but up in the millions number of people, one or another way; and made not one millimeter of progress toward the goal, which goal we can't even define, save in terms of "zero tolerance." We shouldn't have even started; didn't we have the lesson of Prohibition 50 years before? But here we go again. I believe it was Einstein who observed the definition of insanity was repeating the experiment and expecting different results. In the US, we call that "your tax dollars at work."

Welcome and glad you joined. Your government and ours are almost on a par with regards to antiquated vaping laws. Your vape laws are now are soon to be more linnet of the two.

Yep, we have some funny rules here but nothing as bad as this FDA deeming. We're still sort of allowed to import nicotine for personal use from overseas, and there are no restrictions on purchasing hardware.

Alas, I think our laws will become more strict over time.
