Hi. I'm looking for advice on stopping chain vaping. Jittery, strung out and not sleeping! Mood swings! Seems increasing nic strength just increases tolerance and vaping just as much. Tried a bit of a friend's Umba WTA that he brought over and... Wow! And 6mg instead of the 18mg normal nicotine! Expensive to order in SA, so wondering if anyone has advice on if WTA is the way to go to stop vaping ALL the time, before investing. Thankfully they sell big bottles of their WTA in menthol! Thinking I can get some to add to our local ejuice. Are there other WTA vendors that also do a plain menthol? Any advice would be great!

You're in South Africa, so your choices may be limited.
That means you may need to take a slower approach to reaching your goals.

I won't even mention the idea that your goals may change over time.
That's something that will happen or not, and is dependent on many factors.
:)

Regardless, you wanted to know more about WTA liquids, so here's this...

Welcome and glad you joined. WTA is a good choice for DIY vaping. Could check:
Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

Hi @sweet maiden vapor , and welcome to ECF. You may want to check our DIY section. I believe there are some experts there that extract their own WTA's from cigars and such? Wish I could be more helpful, but I just wanted to welcome you and wish you good luck on your journey.

Hope to see you around! And Die Antwoord RULES! ;)

Thanks so much for this! Best info I've read! Definitely going to get this WTA. Ultimately, the goal is to cut down the nicotine content completely.

Cool. I'll check that out. Although, diy seems pretty daunting !

Die Antwoord used to be part of this band Constructus Corporation which I really like too.

Thanks for the welcome!

Cool, I'll definitely check that out. Do you know anything about gcms tests? I read somewhere that it's important for checking that the alkaloid are clean with no other residues etc. So far I can only tell that Om vapors and Umba vape do it, but I haven't read up on the whole of aroma's site or mother milk (such a weird name!). Are there other companies that I haven't found? Is gcms as important as I think? Sorry about all the questions!

GCMS is Gas Chromatography, MS is one of 2 or 3 methods used to calibrate the GC. If I remember right, MS is the one WE want. It is used to test, in Parts Per Billion, for substances it has been calibrated to look for and measure. I've never dabbled in WTA's (hate tobacco taste, lol) so I don't know what substances, or Parts Per, is good or bad.

As far as Eliquids and GC, some stores are testing their e-liquids via GC for ketones such as diacetyl and acetyl propionyl. Those produce buttery flavors. While they are regarded as safe for eating, there are concerns they may cause a non-treatable disease called Bronchitis Obliterans when inhaled as vapor.

There was a high incidence of that disease in the workers who were in contact with those additives in the popcorn and coffee roasting industries. Very controversial. I prefer to err on the side of caution whenever possible.
