New to these forums. I'm getting tired of Cuomo s contradictive law making including the attempt to ban e cigs. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If the government wants to outlaw ecigs then cigs should be banned as well as that is a PROVEN cause of death to countless people. But I'm sure with all the money the government brings in from the taxes and the pharmasuticale companies for chemo that won't happen. It's nothing but a money grab. If they can't make much on it here in NY they don't want it so they use the banning crap to get re election points. Get me out of NY. Thanks for listening to my rant. Sorry for any misspells.

What actual status does Cuomo hold at the moment? Iirc he was also the guy behind the roundly ridiculed sugar thing. How did that work out? I vaguely remember it being made fun of on late night shows based in NY but that’s it.

Welcome! Glad you found a new home! Also my home state of Michigan apparently is banning the sales of all flavored juices thanks to the Governor. Unfortunately I have a trip planned home and I wonder if I'm going to be potentially doing something illegal by carrying some juice home. This is a worrisome time for us as a community we all need to start advocating to our local legislators to keep our hobby and smoking cessation devices available for us and those who need them.

Welcome, welcome. I've been to NYC a few times in my youth.
During my honeymoon, I went to NY. I got a distinct feeling that had I not left my tourism of the state (and it has SO MANY cool things) that they were going to tax the air I was breathing.
I also worried that our vehicle had been secretly weighed on arrival and would be so again upon our departure and if any of us had gained weight in NY, we would be taxed for THAT upon our departure. I really tried to keep my eating habits consistent, let me tell you. I also wondered if there were hidden cameras in the bathroom and tried not to use too much toilet paper in the available porta-potties in case they decided it was too much, and tipped you over.
So yeah, that's about how I feel about NY. Welcome to ECF
