Hi there everyone, first off I'm a complete newbie to vaping; I tried using those rechargeable "cig-a-likes", but the taste was flat and un satisfying, leading me back to my heavy tobacco habit. Last week, I went to my local vape store and pretty much spent all my tobacco money on vape kit; I got an e-smart starter set, 3 bottles of juice, a kangertech mini T3S, and an Evod P1310 battery. I had absolutely no idea what the hell I was buying tbh, but the guy in the shop assured me that Kangertech gear is decent quality, and it looks very well made and sturdy. I've been using the vaporizers for over a week now, and still on my first bottle of juice. Have to say though, the satisfying hit from my new stuff just blows those cig-a-likes out of the water. (I'm vaping a caramel and tobacco flavoured one btw)

anyways, as a newbie, I'm probably gonna need a LOT of advice re maintenance of my kit, cleaning etc. for example, I'm almost out of e-juice, and need to know if I'm supposed to clean out my clearomizers with water before re-filling? (As I said: complete newb here). Also, the guy in the shop said I'm supposed to clean the screw part with tissue paper to remove residue; I was wondering if a cotton bud would work just as well?

Hello and welcome to the ecf forum. I'm glad that vaping is working for you and want to say that there are many wonderful, experienced vapers on this forum who would be happy to help you with any questions or problems. If you have a question you can always do a search first, such as "cleaning clearomizers", and it will show you previous posts on that subject. If you can't find what you need just post a new thread and help will be on its way. There is so many options available to vapers today, which is great, but it can be a bit confusing to those who are new to it. Just keep reading the posts and searching and you will be an expert in no time.

I don't tend to wash my tanks that often, but you need to to change flavour.

Especially the wicks will retain flavour and contaminate the next one (depends on the flavours of course - something like menthol can override anything).

A lot of people soak stuff in vodka for a short while, rinse, then just leave it overnight to dry.

Have a look here for the cheapest decent liquid I've found:

Yeah, this is actually a big concern of mine, so thanks a lot for the link. One thing I'm not sure about is should I rinse out the clearomizers for my e-smart cigs when I change liquids; I'm noticing the liquid in one is beginning to appear darker in colour, although it still tastes fine. These clearomizers aren't rebuildable btw, but luckily they're compatible with my larger Evod battery, so I'm probably just gonna carry on using these little units; they're relatively cheap, and have a pretty decent life.

Oh yeah, I did have one more question: does anybody know if the mini t3s tank is rebuildable at the top as well as the bottom (I can't seem to unscrew the mouthpiece).

Anyway, cheers for the link generic mutant; a cheap source of e-juice is just what I'm looking for right now. How does it taste btw? Another thing I'm looking for is a cheap source of genuine kanger esmart clearomizers. So far I've found 5 for £11.99, which seems a decent price considering my 2 have lasted a week and a half so far. I love the e-smart btw; it's very compact and discrete with fairly good battery life. The only major downside is the clearomizers are disposable.

Edit: I probably will try cleaning my tanks/clearomizers with vodka, and then use a desktop fan to dry it out.

Liquid will begin to darken as you keep refilling things - this is particularly true of capillary action wicks, like Genisis atomisers, but is also true of something like a clearo to some degree.

I guess it's a combination of the fact that some parts of the liquid don't vaporise as readily, and some parts partly burn on the coil, leaving a black gunk. The only real answer I can give you is "clean it when you think it needs cleaning" - I realise that isn't helpful, but opinions vary so much that's pretty much all that can be said. It will also depend hugely on the liquid - there's a maxim that dark juices gunk up coils more, which while no doubt not true in every case has some truth to it.

For the specifics of how to take apart any device, best bet is to just try to find a thread on them - there's a thread for pretty much any clearo, tank, or mod under the sun on the forum somewhere. I don't know anything about those devices specifically I'm afraid.

I really like *some* of the Hangsen liquid - particularly the straight fruits. I'm not very keen on their tobacco liquids, but I'm not very keen on any tobacco liquids, so that might not tell you much at all.

Note that on the site you can order samplers that are only a few millilitres - I'd advise doing that first.

Though that said, if you like fruit, you're unlikely to go too far wrong with their apple, cherry or watermelon or something.

Welcome. I have no idea what a Kanger P1310 battery is, but I suspect I have one in the vaping attic.

OK, no, mine is a P1307.

As long as it's a 510 and eGo fitting, it'll be OK.

If you need extra Kanger batteries, try on here.

Myepack.co.uk

I had 3 of those P1307s.... they were "sort of" £3 with some mini Protank kits. I never really wanted the batteries, just the rest.

Mini Protank 2 Kit - Starter Kits

I like Kanger products.

(and Innokin and Vision too... it's all good :) )

Well, thanks everybody for the very helpful answers. I may be wrong here, but I'm not sure the esmart clearomizers can really be cleaned properly, as they're not rebuildable. If the problem gets really bad I may try cleaning it out by dis attaching the mouthpiece and using a syringe to swill out the inside with hot or warm water while avoiding the air hole. But for now I've just decided to get another p1307 battery or maybe a larger one and another mini t3s tank/ pipe (I'm not up on the terminology yet); I'm more than happy with this E-cig, it's simple and user-friendly, and the battery lasts brilliantly. I may need some help when it comes to changing the wicks though, but I'm sure that'll be an easy fix on this forum. Anyway, thanks again for your replies.

Btw I'm completely out of tobacco now, so I've taken the plunge and become a vaper. (This was actually my New Years resolution.)

Hi.
I'm new to the site and new to e-smart. I recently purchased an E-smart kit, and am very pleased with it. My question is: What is the best way to clean the cartomizer and the bottom coil unit?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Probably best to start new thread... this is quite old.... I'd even forgotten had written on it. :)

Welcome though Beaner5!
