@Darren Baker
The battle as far as I understand, is all about friendship. Be it the vape or the cigarette, you need to have something that is close to you that is on your side. I'd encourage you to find a juice that rocks your boat. Something that makes you say wow.
I'm a heavy smoker, cut down to 5 a day by vaping. I was getting discouraged a bit, but I found a liquid that really hits the spot with me - haven't wanted a ... for hours.
There is no shame in vaping nicotine, only you know if that is what you need at this moment. Logically, it is better if you do that than suffer a crash and go back on the weed. You've done 6 years, which is a good long time, but I'm of the school of thought that addiction cannot be cured, only managed. Once managed, you can build up a "defensive perimeter" to avoid the holes in the road of life ....
You have come so far. Your are not fighting a war, only a battle. I gave up for 3 years, and started again on a very simple scenario. My girlfriend dumped me for my best friend. Rather than calling them out for what they were, I internalised the whole thing and stormed off and bought a packet of cigarettes.
At that moment in time, I needed a friend. The pack of 20 was that.
What I'm trying to say is don't confuse emotional / situational / addiction fault lines. You've done superbly staying off the fags, stay with it. Best case get some emotional support from friends / family etc. regarding your personal circumstances. But please don't fall "off the wagon" as far as cigarettes are concerned, worse case, get some nic in your fluid.
Worse thing you can do is start smoking again for your lungs and your pocket.
