Hi, Glad I found this forum :)

Wish I had discovered vaping long ago. Maybe my failed attempts at quitting smoking wouldn't have failed. Like so many others, nothing really worked, in fact I started to be convinced the "non-smoking" aids were designed to kill you faster.

When I was in England visiting a couple yrs ago a friend had an ecig. I thought it was great. I have no idea why I thought they were illegal here but I did and eventually found out they weren't. After trying it using the usual beginner spinner battery, and small $2 tank, I managed to convince everyone in my family that smoked to try vaping. They really took to it, but I was still glued to my smokes.

So now I have a Nautilus Mini/eLeaf 30w, finally figured out the right Nicotine strength to use and seem to be making progress. I did discover the 50/50 ejuice and I don't get along, I would always get so congested whenever I vaped. So I have migrated to higher VG. My Nautilus is really not liking that at all. Now I am considering getting an Atlantis 2 tank. Does any one out there have any experience with that one? I also have no idea what battery to use with it. I like the eLeaf, but I have no idea what wattage to get. This is certainly a learning experience, one I am embracing. It would be amazing to get away from the stinky smokes after 30 yrs of dealing with them. I am down to just a few smokes a day now :)

Hi and welcome. I don't actually have any experience with the Atlantis tank, so I'll let others guide you there. I will say a 30 watt mod is going to be pushing its limits with a .5Ω coil, and probably too little power for anything lower. Be advised moving to subohm from a Nautilus is going to pump out a lot more vapor, and will probably require you to lower the nic content of your juice. If you're interested in a new combo, take a look at the Kanger Topbox kit. The Toptank it comes with has a wide variety of coils available, suitable for both mouth-to-lung vaping and direct lung subohm vaping.

Welcome DBR :)

How high VG are you running? I mix my own these days; I'm between 70-80%VG, and I don't have any issues with the Nautilus Mini. It's been some time since the "newer" coil heads came out, but they'd enlarged the wicking holes - THAT did help. I run mine with the airflow hole on the largest setting. I'm not filling rooms with clouds, but I get a really nice vape from it....

Congrats on cutting back on the smokes. It's a beautimous feeling :)

Thank-you! I really am glad to be here. I will look into the subox mini & nano & the Kanger toptank. I love the Nautilus Mini but I'm at my wits end with the dry hits and burnt coils. I got this amazing ejuice that I got to enjoy for only a very short time, and I mean only a few vapes, then the nightmare began. I don't savor watering it down but until I figure out what tank to use for the higher VG juices I am just going to have to live with that. My sister got a UWell Crown, but then I was reading about all the leakage issues so the above options are sounding better :)

Thank-you DingerCPA :) The one that started causing all the problems was the 80% VG, I have a 70% VG and other than taking forever to taste good it is OK with it. I have it on the 2nd airflow hole. If I give it more airflow I cough my face off. o_O

edit; I tried the 3rd airflow hole and it's good. The largest, still not so much. :p

my wife uses and loves the atlantis 2 tank with the .5 coil (other coils are to restricted) she is at 24W on that one

its bottom fill and dousnt accept custom drip tips but besides that its a good tank

she kicked a 2-3 packs a day habit with that tank on a kangertech kbox mini 60W
she was able to switch to 8/ml nic liquid without looking back

Welcome @dbr_vape
The mini Nautilus always worked well for me with 50/50. The first version of the coil had small liquid holes (juice holes) and the newer version did improve this.
Just be careful in making the right decision with a new tank. A lot of the 'performance' tanks will cope nicely with VG but they also need more power and don't suit all vapers.
I tend to buy a lot that comes on the market (up to 25w suitability) and never got the Atlantis and cancelled my order for 2 x Uwell Crowns. They are probably not for me.
What about the iSub tanks? Maybe they're worth a look?

Thank-you for the warm welcome! This site and it's members are just amazing. I have been wandering through some of the posts, my head is now spinning courtesy of all the new information. It is very inspiring to know that so many have managed to escape this habit.

@djsvapour, I almost gave in and ordered the Crown tank but decided I really needed to look into it. I can't tell if I have the coils with the larger holes or not. Maybe that is the issue, it was this last package of coils that have given me no end of grief and they are authentic Aspire. @ufosnowcat, with the Atlantis 2, the only thing that kept me from buying it was that my favourite vendor was out of stock. I'm glad to know it worked well.

After reading all the suggestions, I think I need to look into those options as well. Fortunately I don't have to be in a hurry, my Nautilus mini is perfectly content at the moment since I went back to my 70vg but I'm actually longing for that 80vg that I got.

@Toronnah, LOL.. great user name. Especially for those of us that pronounce it exactly that way ;) ... actually come to think of it, I still say it with an 'o' at the end. Still no centre 't' though.. LOL. I need more coffee.

That is hilarious!! LOL

@kross8 Wow, Congratulations! That is excellent. I can honestly say, I really believe this is the only thing that will finally make it possible for me to get away from smoking. It was such a nightmare to even cut down, but it hasn't been this time. Definitely inspiring :)
