GGtb's are Awesome. I even think they are better than the TS. Lighter and easier to carry. I never had any use for the other batt configurations anyway. Cant beat it. =)

JDubious, another option would be to use a 4.8v battery as one of those will fit in the GGTB as well. They are about the same size as a 17670 battery. You can find them at Clouds of Vapor or Mad Vapes and a few other places.

Cool, that sounds exactly like what I need.

Thanks

I just picked up a GTTB off the forums and have a question.

Let me first let me describe the things I am impressed with. This device feels good in my hand, It feels solid. In other words, if I shake it a bit I don't feel a rattle inside. I like the switch, its set up for pinky operation which I didn't think I would like too much. It has just the right amount of button resistance, I love it! The switch lock is very nice as well. I like that it has some weight to it, it feels like a fine instrument as opposed to hobby grade stuff. Mine is the matte finish which is very nice(which it should be for a higher end device).

Okay, now where I am coming from. I have been using a VV device for nearly the past year. I truly believe VV is the way to go and am looking at the GG VV for a future device. I'm not exactly throwing away my old PV, it has been a workhorse and it is still my primary device.

Where I'm at, the seller shipped a couple of AW 17670 1600 mah batts with it. 3.7 volts isn't really my thing. Therefore, I ran out and bought a couple of Tenergy RCR123As. Either way I'm getting decent vapor, but it isn't quite right. At 3.7 the draws are a bit too long, the vapor is too cool. At 6 volts the vapor is too hot, it doesn't taste quite right. I want my porridge to be just right, hehe.

The cartos I'm using ohm out at 3.3. I've been buying them at my local vape shop and have been satisfied with them. I have a 901 and 510 headcap(I prefer 510) and I am willing to buy a few things if needed.

Finally, on to the question. How do I get what I want? Should I buy some different batteries or cartos? Maybe I should get used to one or the other(I doubt it will happen). I have trouble deciding which one I like better at this point. I only use one type of juice and I am not going to change that. This might belong in the new members forum but I feel quite experienced, I figure you guys wouldn't mind giving advice.

Keep on vapin!

Stick with the 17670 @ 3.7 with 2.0 ohm LR carto's from Smoketech or boge, ( I prefer Boge from Clouds of Vapor) and you will be in vaping heaven.....

I should probably mention that those batts take quite awhile to recharge (5-6 hours) and the charger doesn't indicate when the batts are fully charged. A voltmeter/multimeter would be handy to have around as well.

Noted, I wonder If a better charging setup could be rigged.

I'll pick some up while I'm there. The last LR cartos I tried tasted burned at 3.7 no matter what(might have been SLBs). Its time to give LR another try.

Hey FB, don't forget the adjustable draw and ability to blow out the atty w/out removing on the TS. The TS can be made even smaller than the TB- Just sayin.

I just noticed that those 4.8 batts are nickle metals. Kind of a lower end, lower mah batt. I'll need to think about it a bit.

I only break them out on tired atty's that won't vape well at 3.7v anymore. 6v vapes too hot for me so the 4.8's are a compromise. Can't wait for the GG variable volt to come out.

The charger I got tells me when they are done. It's not on the charger part where the battery goes into but on the unit that plugs into the wall. It may differ for other chargers though.
