Hi Guys/Gals. I had no clue you were all here!

I've been on ECF for some time and never realized there was a section for us of faith.
WONDERFUL !
Glad you are all here.

I don't know how to go about joining the Christian Group here, but I did want to say thanks for being here.
I was a fool and walked away from my faith for nearly 30 years. I never rejected Christ , but sure put it all on the back burner for my own selfish reasons. BOY, DID I MESS UP !
I've been through hell with some of the things I've pulled in that 30 years, like nearly destroying a marriage, my business failing, I contracted cancer and was partying way too hard. I could go on, but you get the point. It was turning into a major disaster and if I kept it up, I would have probably killed myself slowly.
God pulled his wing back from the nest and let this lil bird get soaked until I realized it's not wise to get wet and cold.
(Oh, and all of those disasters and problems have been resolved, as well as cancer free now for 3 yrs)

In some respects,I guess it was good. I learned it's not about me, and some christians never do learn that. I'm also more aware of what sin is (since I lived it hard). I also am now of an age where I don't care what folks think of my faith,,,I'm gonna live it regardless.

So I'm back with a mission (yet unsure of what it is) and VERY angry at Satan for stealing me away for so long.
.....
Interests and kinda what re-strengthened my faith is apologetics. This entails sciences and prophetic. Gotta love it.
........
Thanks all for being here..
Dan

Hello Dan!

Welcome to Christian Vapers!! I'm glad you stopped by! I've been elsewhere on the forum trying to spread the news we're here--just look at the descriptions at the top of my avatar! lol! (Not blowing my own horn, tho! :p lol!) Check your PMs. I'll send you an invitation to join the group.

Awesome testimony that I can relate to. I was a wild child for many years until He called me back to Him. I also am a cancer survivor, Praise God!!

I hope to see you here again soon!

Welcome Dan and Phanie! I haven't been on as much recently, but I'm getting my 'groove' back a little at a time.:)

It's easy to blame satan for our choices. I so totally understand, but we are responsible for what we do, and there are things in my past, even as a Christian, that I'm not very proud of. What I hate are those traps of his ....... you know, the ones you think you're doing the right thing and it turns out to be the worse thing you've ever done! I have a cabinet full of those mugs and a drawer full of those t-shirts! It's when you're going.....'but, but, but, ......' and then it engulfs you like the Mississippi River, and you stand back, shaking your head......'that's not what I intended to happen!' Then, you realize you fell for another trap. That's what gets me red in the face! That's when I wish I could kick my own tush!!! (Now that really would be a trick.) The important thing is to remember to forgive ourselves. We can forgive others easier than we can ourselves. It's in that moment you realize that you just fell off of your own pedestal, and by george, that hurts! So, welcome to the human race.

I just love Simon Peter. Now that's a guy who could put both feet in his mouth at the same time.....like me. Cases in point: 1) "No, Lord, we can't go to Jerusalem if they are planning to kill you!" It makes sense to me. Then Jesus said, "Peter, satan is speaking through you." Oh gag....cough....gag....cough! 2) "Lord, I'd never deny You." Well, we know how that turned out! So if one of the 12 disciples kept tripping up, what makes you think you won't? I rest my case and am putting soapbox back under the desk!:2c:

P.S. Again, WELCOME!!!!! :)
