Hi guys, new to vaping, wondering, does the vapor hurt your eyes?

Hey there,

New to the board, never "vaped" an e-cig in my life, just found out about it last week and I am awaiting my first kit in the mail, got lots of questions...

What I'm wondering today, is does it hurt your eyes the way cigs do if you happen to get some of the vapor there?

That's one of the many things that I hate about smoking, almost every day I get some errant smoke in the eye and it stings like crazy, what happens if you get some of the vapor from e-cigs in the eye?

NO! The vapor does not sting your eyes (I work on computers, and used to frequently hold my analog cig in my mouth while typing... a great recipe for "eye sting.").

Like Lalesa said, you'll still flinch the first few times it happens (waiting for the pain), but the sting never comes.

This is why I ask, because when I work a lot of times I need two hands so I am forced to either hold the cig in my mouth and work, or put down the cig...

And we all know what putting the cig down is like for us hardcore smokers...

So daily I am getting eye drags, sometimes it's so bad that I can't even see after, the eye turns red and tears up, it sucks bad, but of course I keep doing it like a dummy...

Wow this is one of those things I completely forgot about in cigarettes it used to drive me crazy causing dry contacts! I experience no eye irritation when vaping any strength of nicotine and it hits my eye

There are a couple of really spicy specialty flavor juices that can sting your eyes.

Sometimes I blow a big vapor cloud and then stick my head in it. It's like being in a cloud or a fog machine. It's fun!

I have had the juice accidentally get into my eye and that stung a little but I don't even think that was as bad as getting smoke in my eyes.

Well the good thing 4 u is no you will not get eye drags but.... being than an ecig weighs more than a cig its kinda hard to smoke one with no hands at least 4 me.

And that's the primary reason I prefer Whistle-Tips. It make it SO much easier to vape hands-free.

I have to agree about trying to go hands free with the e-cig. If you try it, you might want to have the whistle tip. The weight takes a little getting use to.

Also, Its about impossible to no hand vape with a manual. At least with the 510 anyway. Im sure its the same all around.

Since having Lasik surgery over 5 years ago I always had to carry a bottle of Theratears with me. Since I started vaping - no more eye drops. The only sting I ever had was once when I got some eliquid directly in my eye. Otherwise no issues and I vape a lot with no hands.
