Hi I am new here! harsh taste aqua atomizer

Hello everyone!
First I used a protank 3 and disposable clearomizers, I did not vape for a month because I can not find those, they must be somewhere around here, I will find them someday I hope, I do not understand how I lost them it is quite some mess here so that could be the reason

First I have to say I had different e-juice before, from different seller so I can not really compare but this are my findings.

The first time I used my aqua I got a wet cardboard taste, that could be due to using to much cotton(twisted and then put into the coil...), the I left the device a side for some time, yesterday I was fiddling with it again and I used less cotton the cardboard taste is for 90% gone now I think with some more refinement and attention to the cotton I can solve that problem I think....

The problem is that the taste and throathit are not really what I want, there is to much throat hit and that is overwelming the taste I think.

Could the nicotine level be the issue? I have used 18mg/ml with the protank and clearomizer I had no problems at all!

I also get dizzy I have the idea

By the way the vapor production is not very big so that could not be the issue, as big as with the other atomizers, I am resiricted with my vamo v5 you see.

Tomorrow I receive a clone gamma rta, maybe this will solve my problem, I am also not a very big fan of bottom coil as with the aqua and protank because they flood quite fast, they both gorgle sometimes, that will cost ejuiste and it will also not benefit the vapor production I think.
I can try the gamma with silica or mesh and maybe one coil instead of two by plugging one hole.

I am quite dissapointed, now I have the idea I be better off with a 8ml mini nova, not that I tried that one but I have the idea it is a good atomizer
With the topcoil disposable cartomizer and cherry e-juice the only juice I had at that time(the rest of the e-juice was consumed and the other cartomizer and protank where already lost here) I pushed it a bit to far and it tasted a bit like a wood saw department at the local hardware store, after some time I even liked the taste but this is far more worse, the peppery taste I mean.

Is getting other e-juice with lower nicotine the only solution? or are there other ways to get less TH from the aqua or gamma?
Tomorrow I will get pure glycerine from a home beer brewery shop, when I do still not like the harsh TH from that liquid I am quite done with those atomizers, maybe I will try to duplicate a coil and wick setup used in the disposable top coil clearomizer... I also have some nichrome awg36 here.

I believe nic content will affect throat hit, but for me the pg/vg ratio seems to be a major factor. I mostly use 80/20 or 70/30 pg/vg. The higher pg gives a "harsher" vape which I enjoy. Maybe try a high vg juice or 100% vg and see if it helps reduce the throat hit for you.

thank you, the previous juices I used where 70%vg the ones I now have are 100% vg
it is really strainge I really do not understand why the vape is so peppery, tomorrow I will try out my gamma atomizer, I will let know how the vaping was.
Really strainge the protank and clearomizer even with 18mg/ml juice was like vaping waterdamp/fog with some taste and there was some but very very little bit peppery taste.
The aqua is difficult to mod but with the gamma/genesis style I can mod a lot more like using mesh cotton or silica and one coil and it is top coil also more forgiving for errors.

Luckely they both where not expensive but I just do not understand why a 34/36awg coil on 1.5mm silica has much less TH then 28awg on 3mm silica.

In the days when I was smoking sigarettes I broke the filter off the sigaret sometimes I liked that but that is really different then this peppery taste.

Is your Aqua a RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer)? If so, what is the ohm of your build? What mod are you using?
