I no longer smoke but I vape instead and I need to know the rules on vaping in SG!

I was totally unaware that I may not be able to Vape in SG bring my gear that allows me to vape?

I looked up the SG law on this after another person brought it to my attention and the act states that you are not allowed to Import sell or advertise anything related to cigarette or tobacco type products including food confectionery toys sweet cigarettes and electronic cigarettes and now it has added "Even for personal use"

I know there is much more to the Act or Law and I have not quoted it correctly but does this mean I will be disallowed or prohibited to bring a vape devise of any sort or type into SG on a short holiday? even if it does not resemble a cigarette at all ?

I dont wish to break any laws or rules in SG so should I declare my equipment to Customs in SG or dispose of it before I arrive in SG?

Frankly I am in a Panic as I have only been smoke free for just over 3 months,I am considering cancelling the SG part of my trip and even loose the money spent I am that concerned about the law.

Any help would be appreciated.

hi , PVs and nicotine juices are illegal here fines is @ $5k sgd . Try not to bring something too fancy. Bring something cheap that you can disposal off and stealth vape.

I wont be bringing anything in if its that illegal!

Even my e juice is illegal?

Its Ok for those that live there to take a risk i suppose but the last thing i want is to be pulled to one side for questioning and treated as a criminal for giving up smoking!

I am just passing through SG to the airport but had planned a week stay after Cambodia,I will now be changing my flights and bypassing SG and will fly back to Australia from Thailand.

Shame really as I have not visited SG since 1976.

I make it a point to respect the laws of all countries I visit and make a personal decision on home laws.

Thanks.

Good, we're losing tourists now ^^

Yep you lost my tourist dollar plenty plenty!

Even though it has cost me around $200+ AU in flight Changes I have gained on the hotel charges big time :)

What gives with your huge hotel charges anyway?

Sorry I couldn't re visit your land but I hold the money that decides where I choose to go! and SG is now at the bottom of a new list!

But the world is my oyster andI am shucking away!

I do hope you people rise above this because its "you" who own your land not the politicians who "you" actually vote in to do it for you!

Good luck and happy vaping.

DEADLY Red Dot
None of us think like you do and that's why we are here in this sub forum. We are firm believers of 'do what you wanna do but don't get caught'. How do you think we got our PVs and supplies? Download from Internet?

And I'm sorry to hear that you changed your travel plan cos you chose to be law abiding. Thank you for respecting our law though.

And by the way, I really can't think of a country that is not run by politician.
