My name is Lee and I just recieved my Volcano Lavatube. I was wondering if anyone has ever had the problem I have. My voltage display is showing what looks like a -.X volts. Now after looking at it I believe part of the LCD display is bad. I contacted Volcano but was looking for anyone else that has ever had this problem. I attached a picture of my display.

There's definitely something wrong with your device. Something's reading wrong, or the LCD is bad, or something's shorted. Negative volts are kind of like negative miles traveled driving down the road. The least amount of volts you can have is 0. Negative volts would be like owing the battery volts. It just....isn't possible.

My best guess would be you've got a bad LCD and some of your er...pixels? Are out, and what you're seeing, like bacc.vap said, is part of a 4 or something.

Thank you for the welcome. I have been vaping for about a year or two. I started with the Blu e-cig when they first came out. Then went back to real cigs. Then took Chantix and quit all together for about 2 months, then started vaping again about a month or so ago. I was using the Westside vapors e-cig for the last month or two and finally upgraded the the Lavatube and I'm happy so far except for the display problem it works great. Now I'm waiting on my liquids to get here from Health Cabin. And yes, when I hit the power button 7 times it still shows "negative .X volts........

Yea when adjusting the voltage when I'm guessing I go from 3 volts to 4/5 I get the left top segment to light up so I think the rest are no good. I figured as much on the negative voltage. Just thought it was weird and crappy that I just got it and it looks like I will be sending it back more than likely. The good thing is that I heard Volcano has very good customer service so I should be alright but now I'm gonna have to go with out it till I get the replacement which sucks. :(

I've had a Lavatube from Volcano since just before Christmas 2011. All was well until last month, when the switch began sticking. Volcano asked me to return it to them for 'testing' (they paid shipping), diagnosed the problem, and sent a new replacement (received this past Monday). I CAN vouch for Volcano as having GREAT customer service!!!

I was without the LT for almost 2 weeks, but since it came back, I'm making up for lost time! ;)

It DOES sound like your display is on the blink, so get that thang returned ASAP!

Good luck! :)

Yup, you have a one year warranty on manufacturer's defects. That is definitely a manufacturer's defect. So open a ticket, and they'll fix you up.

Just wait and see ...

I spoke with them today and they are sending me a replacement and it should be here by Friday. They also emailed me a label to send the faulty one back. Now that is what I call customer service. They also said they would let me know what was wrong with it from what I understood in one of the emails. I mean otherwise it is working great.

Once we have received and tested your defective item we will notify you on this same ticket of the outcome. Thank you very much for your cooperation and have a great day!

Also from the Volcano website:

What if something breaks or malfunctions?

If one of our products breaks or malfunctions, we do offer a 1 year limited warranty, the details of which can be found on our Warranty page. The warranty is also subject to the Terms & Conditions agreement, so please make sure you read through that as well.

Yea, I agree to watch the fire button! I have a Power Tube (basically an LT) from a different place. When I pulled it out of the box the button was stuck! I clicked it a few times and it was fine. That has been a few months ago and still occasionally will hang up, but free's up fast. I will probably end up going with a different mod before too long with a fully mechanical button so I don't have to worry bout this. But, overall I have enjoyed my LT greatly!
