Hi, I found this forum and registered so I could post this question--

I quit smoking years ago, after smoking a pack a day for more than 10 years. Once in a while I get the urge-- after a beer or two with friends, or working late at night, etc.--but never strong enough that I would actually have a smoke. I refuse to go back down that road. But, these e-cigs intrigue me. I would like to pick one up from the corner store or drug store and see what it is like.

Now, I realize from just a quick browse of these forums that most of you will want to tell me, "no, forget those crappy overpriced minis, etc." But for now I just really want to grab one of these, not get into the whole ordering online, DIY gadget-y thing. So if you are willing, would you please provide any feedback on these brands I have seen in the stores:

EonSmoke
Blu
njoy
Logic
Finiti

Thanks!

also, if you do pick up a kit of any sort, i would recommend that you hang on to the empty carts as you may eventually want to refill them. i am kicking myself for throwing away empties, even from cheap smoke shop ones because i want to load em up and give em to my gf. there's no downside to hanging on to them even if you don't decide to refill them but once you throw em out they're gone for good. this advice does not apply if you're just getting disposables.

welcome to ecf.

if you have no intentions of becoming a 'hard core vapor' and need a longer life battery and large juice capacity, the blu, or njoy would be fine. just keep in mind, the ecigs you listed are higher priced than some of the larger battery/larger juice selection. but the carts/cartos can be refilled so that would save you some money.

if you will only be using it for an occasional vape, they should be fine.

i started with a small ecig kit like this. the battery lasted me a few hours and i had to top off the ejuice quiet often. i moved up to a larger ecig within a few days of getting mine.

it all depends on how much you intend to vape.

My husband and I used OneJoy (the NJoy disposables) for a few days while waiting for our order to come in. They weren't bad, but you don't really feel like you're smoking a cig. It's almost like going from Marlboro Reds down to Ultra Lights. Supposedly, one OneJoy is about a pack and a half of cigarettes.

The blu is a good starter kit. I think the reason that people claim the disposable is better is because of the 24mg nicotine content. You get a pretty significant buzz compared to a thier 18mg walgreens/corner store refill cartridges. I had a blu, and If I wasn't quite as heavy a smoker as I was I would have stayed with it. If you just want to try it I vote that you go for a blue.

I keep a couple of Green Smart Living e-cigs around (that's what my local liquor store sells), for when I go somewhere I want to be a little more discreet and they taste close enough to analog cigs that they remind me why I don't smoke anymore. They also have 510 threads, although (except to play around the house) I wouldn't trust those little batteries with my real gear.

I actually really liked the Logic. Pretty nice flavor. slightly sweet or caramel-y tobacco thing going on there. also they make a 24mg nico one. which is nice if you like nicotine. and while their batteries run out pretty quick, the cartridges can keep going a bit longer if you want to get a rechargeable battery and use them on that.

green smart living is 510 thread? i always thought they used proprietary threading so you were forced to buy their cartos. i have one that i wanted to give to my gf but i didnt want to waste the money buying their cartos.

Never tried the disposable type. My concern is if you don't go at it full tilt you'll get to cravin' a real cigarette and go over to the dark side again. If it's not a strong desire vape don't mess with it at all. We love havin' you as a member; vaper or otherwise and only wish for you to be happy and healthy.

I got the "green smart living" brand and I love it! I had my last cigarette on Monday at 12 pm. They also have cartridges that have no nicotine in case you ust wantd the vapor. It was 21.65 for the starter pack which inludes the battery, 2 cartos & a usb charger. You can check their website for retailers as its cheaper to buy frm them. Good luck!
