Hi members of ECF!

I have recently started vaping, and I thought I might share my experiences with the rest of the people. When I first heard the term e-cigarette, I got curious, and looked it up online. At first, I was thinking it was just another gimmick for quitting smoking, well the latter turned out to be true. Or should I say, switching to vaping :) In any case, thanks to Google, I stumbled upon to this site, and I started reading peoples comments. To say the least, I was impressed with how many people were so happy with vaping. So, after some research, I decided to get in on it as well, and bought a starter kit from CigNot (the Joye 510).

As soon as I got it, I started vaping the sample e-liquids I got from CigNot. One was the tobacco flavor, which did not impress me at all, and the other was spearmint, which I found to be not as flavorful as I hoped for. In their defense, I'm not pretty sure that this is because both e-liquids are VG based, rather than PG. If I'm not mistaken, VG provides more vapor output, and PG provides more flavor. In any case, I ordered some e-liquid from Vermont Vapor. In fact, I just received them today, and have been trying the product out. Props to Vermont Vapor for such speedy service.

Oh, let's not forget, I have been pretty satisfied by the PV, and only had one analog on Saturday (which now believe was because of the mental urge, not physical). It's been 4 days now, and that was the only analog I had!

The thing is, I I finally figured out that 20 mg nicotine is too much for me, as I used to smoke a pack a day (usually a little less), and who am I kidding - I love to vape! I'm always puffin' on it in front of the computer, reading a book, etc. So now I ordered some 100% PG from Tasty Vapor, and I'm looking forward to those delicious sounding aromas :)

One problem I have is that I feel I'm not getting the same vapor or throat hit I used to get when I first started, but I'm trying the FAQ in this category, hopefully that will help.

cignot's bog normal juices are ok but not great - ther BASIC juices though are marevellous. Theya re also all VG but made in the USA and I love em :D (fruity though if you dont like fruits then don't bother lol)
Id go for 12-18mg too - I was on a pack a day of ultralights and 12mg is my sweet spot, but I can deal with 18mg ok but 24mg is a bit too much lol.
Mixed VG and PG is a good one btw my TV juices are 70-80% PG and 20-30% VG as I find thats a good balance between vapor and taste.

Ankle, I hope you're right. I was at a little under a pack a day, and I figured that made me a heavy smoker so I went with 24mg across the board for my first juice orders.

Hoooo boy was I wrong about that. Vaped like I smoke, and ended up with a nicotine high all day. Not enjoyable. I've got some 12mg on order, hoping that will help me ditch analogs.

I started vaping with an SS Choice No. 7, which I hear isn't a very good E-cig. Regardless, being the first one I tried, I still loved it. I'm going to order something else later this week and hope it's even better than my No. 7.

Before I got my e-cig, I was at about two packs a day, probably three packs a day on the weekends. I went with the 24mg juice and I like it right there. A bit more initial kick would be nice, but I can feel that I'm getting a little more nicotine throughout the day than with analogs. I might try getting some of the 60mg "mixing and diluting only" juice for an extra kick now and then.

From one noob to another, welcome to vaping! You'll feel the physical benefits soon, if you haven't already. It makes me wonder what the HELL I was thinking when I started smoking ten years ago....(wow, has it really been that long?!)

I had two friends both get way too much nicotine the first day they were vaping. So, when I made my first order, I ordered a 510 and 801 (plus an extra 801 atomizer) and some 18 mg and 0 mg juice. I always keep 0 mg in one and 18 mg in the other. (I smoked about a pack a day, maybe a little more) When I'm chain-vaping, I have the 0 mg. I use the 18 mg like I did with cigarettes.

Hi, fellow newbs. I have been here for a few weeks, been vaping about 3 weeks or so (?). However I have smoked about 4 regular cigarettes in the last couple weeks, so officially, today is the first day I am counting as no cigarettes whatsoever, since I had the last one yesterday morning, Monday, April 5. I wasn't being satisfied with my cartomizer and carrying my High Voltage model was too cumbersome, since it is so heavy. So I made my new "counting signature" banner as Tuesday being my first official starting day. I much prefer the vaping, actually. I didn't think I would, but I miss it if I smoked a real cig.

With the nicotine levels to choose, I really don't know how to figure that part out. I smoked for 37 years, menthol. Quit several times with Chantix, however I find it dangerous and unhealthy. But the last year or so, I've cut back to about 1/2-3/4 pack per day. I couldn't smoke in the house, so it cut down my usage, as well as being at work, short breaks, etc. Vaping is much more convenient as well, being as I can go in the bathroom if I feel the need for a nico hit, and no one knows.

I started with the 36mg cartomizers, some were 24mg as well. When I started buying juices recently, I bought 48 mg, a 24mg freebie, and when I started ordering unflavored nicotine base in PG, I screwed up and ordered 100mg/ml, thinking it would be so diluted after mixing. NOT so. It is too much I believe, since I find after a few hours of vaping 48mg or my own mix down to 36mg, my vision gets blurred. I don't feel high, just can't see very well. Add that to Wellbutrin, and it's realllly blurry. So after reading others recommendations, I think I'll start toning it down more. But then flavor is the issue. I think it's just trial and error from this point with flavor concentrates. I am certainly going to try some Lorann's Flavorings too, since the are so concentrated and won't really thin or thick the mixture too much. Trying to replicate menthol is never going to be exact, but I'm still working on that.

Ok. I'm done rambling. Just wanted to share that and say howdy. I'm learning so much here. One thing I have learned that is worthy of sharing: don't skimp on your e-cig unit. It isn't worth it-you'll end up not satisfied and on the search for a better model you should have just coughed up the money for from the start, IMHO.

Good luck everyone.

ok so i did some looking around and most kings Full flavor Analogs run 1.2 -1.4mg nic per cig. So if your pak aday smoker thats 1.2mg nic X 20 = 24mg of nic a day
for 100's it's about 1.4~1.8mg nic so you get 1.8mg X 20 = 36mg of nic a day
But most ppl don't get it all about 10% of you analog is just ash you didn't smoke
more if you get short breaks at work and end up puting most of it in the ash tray.
good news on your 24mg juice is if you find that 12mg works out better for you then you can get 0MG and cut it down 1:1 and have 12mg
also if you need higher the 12mg and lower then 24 mix the 2
12mg 24mg
1drop + 5drop= 22mg
1drop + 4drop= 21.6mg
1drop + 3drop= 21mg
1drop + 2drop= 20mg
1drop + 1drop= 18mg
2drop + 1drop= 16mg
3drop + 1drop= 15mg
4drop + 1drop= 14.4mg
5drop = 1drop= 14mg
as you can see you got some room to play.

I might try getting some of the 60mg "mixing and diluting only" juice for an extra kick now and then.
Johnny vox you kinda scare me at that.

Nic is a posion and may not give the kick your after.
if your vaping VG get some PG in the same flavor and mg. PG has a stronger TH then VG does but VG does give alot more Vapor. if you play around with mixing the two you may find a blend that has a good TH for you and gives Alot of vapor. but if you still find that you want the extra kick don't go over a 2:1 ratio when adding it to your current 24mg

so if you say want to add some kick to your stick
you would want to use 1 drop or ml of 60mg to every 2 drops or ml's of your 24mg this will give you a end result of 36mg nic.
keep in mind if you drip the 60mg on the atty or the end of your cart it will not mix with your current juice and this is not a good idea as that first puff will be strait 60mg.

Welcome and yes for me playing around with the different juices is also a lot of fun...I use about 80% VG and 20% PG. most of the time....Also, only between 10-14 nic mg...
When I an at the computer I even use 6 mg because I vape so much more then. Also, in the morning with my coffee, I vape 14 mg only, for the morning hit....Experiment and you will find out what is good for you....That is what great about this, everyone is different...P.S. My first and only PV is a Ego...Works great for me..and long battery life...
Welcome....Hope you enjoy everything vaping has to offer..

Thanks for the posts everyone, you guys are being helpful as there is some information in this thread that really does help me out. First of all, it seems I forgot to mention the Tasty Vapor e-liqs that I ordered is the 12 mg strength. Also, after many hours of research of PV products, I know I want to get a Ego/Tornado now. I do enjoy vaping a lot, and I'll probably want to pick up some 0mg strength juice, and vape that with my 510, while using the Tornado for the nicotine juices.

Also, another observation I made - I got my 510 with automatic batteries and I've also been using the USB pass through, which has a manual button of course. In any case, I'm a 100% certain now that I'm definitely a manual battery kind of guy. I was wondering if I get manual batteries for my 510, would I be able to safely drip with that?

I had a few more thoughts as a noob (which I feel is changing very fast). I tried the LTP mod, and of course, found it to be a much more pleasurable experience - vast amounts of vapor with almost no effort, and less time spent filling up the cartridge.

However, the downside seems to be that I'm not getting that much throat hit from this mod, since I don't need draw on the 510 as long as I had to get a good hit. I should also mention I'm using 100% VG e-liq from Vermont Vapor right now. In any case, I think I might have found a solution, which is to use one of the dummy cartridges that I had(empty) and drip! A much better throat hit, and it feels a lot more satisfying.

On a closing note, I think a better solution is coming through in the mail, hopefully by Friday! I just ordered the Tornado from Totally Wicked yesterday.

Whoa! I definitely didn't mean to smoke it by itself. When I said "for a kick now and then" I meant mixing it now and then, since i probably wouldn't always want it that strong. Sorta like tossing in that extra splash of whiskey in a coke. The concern and information are appreciated, though.

You sure know your stuff, and I'll keep what you've said in mind.

I also vape 24mg allll day long. Haven't really noticed any of the symptoms of too much nic though. I was smoking a pack a day of Basic Menthol Ultra Lights when I started vaping. Started to have some bad withdrawal stuffs so I upped my nicotine to 24mg and it has helped. I think the withdrawals are probably to the other bad stuffs in ciggies. Whenever they come on I just vape like a crazy person til they go away, lol. After these stop, hopefully I can go back down to lower nic levels.
