Been using NPro/njoy/Total E-Cigs for awhile after discovering them at a local 7-11. Used to roll my own ciggies (the legal type). Much cheaper than buying a carton of Marlboro's. Finally ditched them 3 weeks ago, and went total e-cig. Been looking around for a less expensive way of enjoying my e-cig's and stumbled upon this forum. I learned ALOT today, and now in the process hopefully saving some cash by refilling. Thanks again!!! Not too thrilled with these Total cartomizers. Lately the quality hasn't been too good. So far out of the last 10 or so cart's half have either been dud's, or was lucky to last several puff's before quitting on me. So I've been surfing the Net looking for alternatives. Now I have to get the XYL to follow suit, though she recently just starting rolling her own since I gave her all my stuff.

The two most popular slim ecigs...

Joye 510 manuals and the longer size Joye 510 mega xl manuals (510 manuals have a totally sealed threaded end, safe from the leaks of refilled cartomizers ,easier to get a good hit) 180mah and 280mah and more use these for cartomizers (blanks) for their favorite juices (Boge most popular - and must use 2.5 to 3 ohm since it's a slim ecig. The hotter LR stuff is for fat battery models like Ego and Riva 510)

KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life and the other style at SmokelessImage, Halocigs G6, Bloogplanet) - this is a 2-piece so lots of prefileld and blank cartos, use a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip to test juices on a manual battery (dripping not recommended on auto so use 901 cartridges)

Thanks for the welcome.

I'll stick to my collection of 4081's for now (and I prefer autos to manuals). Have four batteries that are fairly new (well one that is very sensitive to loud noises aka drums). Plus it's fun when someone walks up to you to ask for a light. I get the strangest looks. :D As for rolling my own it worked out to $1.43 a pack (considering in NJ it's about $7.50, and in NYC it's about $12 a pack for Marlboro's). A twenty ounce bag of good pipe tobacco, three/four cartons of tubes, and I was set. I was notorious for lighting up, taking a puff or two, then setting it back into the ashtray, and going back to my computer game/radio/smartphone/drums/tv then forgetting about it until you guessed it burningbuttstink.

TOTALLY AGREE, Huffelpuff, I wish someone had said that to me a year ago and about 1000 later, but now its all gravy and Its more an addiction in finding the next best thing. I have my first WOOD VV BOTTOMFEEDER on order as we speak. Oink Oink if your familiar. Then it will be a waitto get a VV REO and I will be done for awhile.

Drummer, my husband and I did the same thing, started rolling our about a year ago because the cost. Bought some 808's at a smoke shop ENCORE brand, batteries were great, would not recommend the carts, they were (as I know now 10 days into this vaping lifestyle) very dry. This forum is amazing. Welcome from one noob to another.

Again thanks for the warm welcome guys, and gals. For the time being I am going to stick to the 4081 stuff. I mod enough of my toys already (current passion is modding my smartphone), but eventually I'll get into making my own PV. Just made a nice investment over at Vaporkings. Yay for refillable carts! Now I can't wait for the new toys to show up. I saw in another post that there is a meet at the Renn Diner at W49th/9th. That's just down 49th from my office. Have to drop in sometime.

Alot of it is trial and error and this forum will help you out sooo much. You have already accomplished the most important part, the rest is gravy and alot of fun. Use the folks on here, they are a wealth of info. and there isn't a question that someone won't try to answer.

I have to agree. Just like anything else. Since I'm a Grad from the School of Hardknocks the tendency is to do everything the hard way.

To borrow a quote from the late Hunter S Thompson "When you get locked into a serious Vaping collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can".

Welcome, glad you made the switch. Much healthier and tastier. For me ciggs are about $6.00 per pack. I was spending about $150.00 to $200.00 a month on ciggs. I'm saving $80.00 to $90.00 per month and probably more when I start filling all those cartos with juice. Probably that will just give me an excuse to buy more stuff though. :)
