I'm new to this forum and vaping. I bought my Blu before I realized it needed mods to function well. I have bucked up and bought the blue foam, a volcano atty, cart caps and a CJ juice Trio and am waiting for all of it to arrive.

With all of this I am pretty sure I will be able to get it all to work just fine.

I definitely want to thank hxj for his great post which is why I'm on this forum. I want to really like my Blu like he does. :toast:

Right well right now I'm dedicated to making my Blu work. I think with a little common sense and all the tips from you vets (inlcuding mods) I won't have a problem.

I mean here's what I have planned out:

1) Remove all aluminum from an inner cart before using a pre-filled
2) Drip on the atty after cleaning or for first use
3) Drag quickly 3 times then do a slow prolonged inhalation drag
4) If the vapor tanks before the cart is empty (less than maybe 50-70 hits) I can:
a) Shake the Blu like a nurse
b) Top off the cart
5) Regularly inspect and clean the atty and btty
6) Do not overfill the carts, dont drag too hard and use blue foam to avoid the "juice in the mouth syndrome"
7) ENJOY!

I have learned all this before even receiving any of my vaping equipment.

I AM READY TO GO! :D

I started off on the blu and absolutely hated it. Ended up sending it back after 4 days of dealing with the batteries only lasting 2 hours and carts putting out 5-6 ok vapes before tasting burnt. I wish you the best in getting it to work right for you, but I just could not. Switched over to the TW Titan Tornado and am extremely pleased.

How do you shake your nurses?

Ha!

Another thing Reyth - if you think you might end up returning your Blu for a refund, use your liquid to refill a single cart as much as possible. Blu has a new policy in place where they reduce the amount of your refund based on how many of the "free" cartridges you use...The more full cartridges you send back, the more $ you get back on your return

You grab her/him around the neck and shake!

At least that's what I've often wanted to do to some of my fellow nurses on a couple of occassions when they called off at the last minute and I got stuck covering for them after already working my own shift.

Thanks for the advice. There is 0 chance I will be returning it. The only way is if it is so defective that it doesn't even work. I will fix the engineering flaws myself so that it will work for me. :)

Don't judge vaping by how the Blu does. For every one user who thinks it is OK, I have read about 100 users write about just how bad it is. I would suggest a good 510 or eGo manual to judge how vaping works for you and then if you like it, get a good mod (not the cart but the e-cig/PV) Many prefer 5 volt vaping. Here is a good summary site:

Ok well the reason why there is so many Blu users that h8 it and switch is because it has engineering flaws and there is alot of effort involved in bypassing them. I mean how many users are willing to buy an atty from another company just so their Blu will properly wick a cart? How many users are willing to buy and manually stuff blue foam into their carts? And manually refilling them?

All of these things require a little tweaking and effort. The path of least resistance here is just buying a 510 or other properly engineered product and not having to mess with the L88B which is exactly what happens as you have stated.

I can say without a doubt based on my own considerable experience and reading thousands of posts on several forums from other vapers, the Blu can't hold a candle to a good mod, especially the 5 volt mods. It's really just that simple.

But good luck to you, any way.

Well in that case it may be an issue of a mini vs. full-sized or auto vs. manual but I can at least get my Blu to work up to specs like an auto mini should. :p

3 months..... ~ish and still rockin. Works like a champ. However, the last pair of attys Blu sent as replacements suck compared to the older style. I am hoping they just screwed up instead of trying to fix something that wasn't broken. The new ones the bridge is a little longer and just doesn't seem to pick up as well as the shorter stubbier ones. So, I have 2 great attys and 2 not so good..... I drip with the two longer ones. My wife likes the newer attys because the seem to wick better with the Luci cartridges than the shorter ones. Luci carts are even less volume than the Blu. Kind of annoying really.

Keep on truckin'

OK, I guess you CAN do these things. But why do you want to??? From what I can gather from your posts, you are already an expert before you even receive your first e-cigarette. Good Luck and I hope vaping works out for you.

I have a Blu, 510, and Ego so far. I'm still messing with the Blu trying to get better performance out of it. The only thing that just drives me crazy is the refill, I hate the cart design. If you could find a cart that fits it but lacks that little plastic capsule you would be 100% better off on your adventure.
