Thank's Steve i hope ,and pray that one day i'm as confedent as you. Since i just lost my youngest brother to lung cancer i need too quite Period.

@Mary D. Jerez I too have lost many friends and family members to smoking related illnesses and I ran oxygen lines through the house for my Dad who's emphysema got so bad he suffered from Obliterative Brochiolitis which so many say smoking does not cause. I only wish I had quit years ago instead of only just over 3. Good Luck!

The ego-T is what I quit with. They are cheap and can work, but as already mentioned there is much better equipment available today. I might suggest the Aspire Zelos with the Nautilus 2 tank in a kit. A little pricier than your ego but a much better vaping experience all the way around.

There are many variables involved in vaping. I quit upon my doctors recommendation and coughed a lot of stuff out of my lungs for a couple weeks.. was horrible but in the end I could breathe so much better.

I never had "lung pain" though. It might be a bit of sensitivity to pg, however, or it might be related to your COPD. that said, there are MANY COPD sufferers who vape successfully and show great improvement in their condition.

If I were you on top of speaking to your doctor, I would try a more modern set up such as the Aspire Zelos with the Nautilus 2 tank. You might find yourself more successful with that, as well as have less problems with the transition from smoking to vaping as with that kit you can try a little bit higher vg level.
Thank's but what is vg level.

When i had a trip to Canada i bought Sv Juice and, pipe which came with coil, and. Juice at that time i did'nt know i could not let the tank go too low. So i burn the tank and battery. But i have a similar pipe which i started using and threw away the e-GoT. By the way i was told by my Canadian doctor Sv is one of the best companies since he is a wholesales vender, and against cancer cigarettes.

One of the components of e liquid. There is PG (Propylene glycol), there is VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and then you have nicotine and your flavorings. These are the ingredients in e liquid.

There are places where you can buy e liquid (what is vaporized) that is to your liking, you can order VG and PG in whatever amounts you prefer, as well as the amount of nicotine you need.

Modern tanks both hold and vaporize your e liquid, you just add e juice of your choice to your tank.

(I buy e juice from ec blends and heathers heavenly vapes, but there are many places to purchase from that are good)

Modern vaping device:

Hi Mary. Welcome, and glad you're here.

If possible, try to get some juice in different ratios and strengths to find out what *feels* best. Many vape shops will let you sample (often for a small fee due to the FDA) different juice. Try 70/30 (PG/VG), 50/50 and 30/70 (PG/VG). Higher PG will give more of a throat hit and higher VG will produce more clouds. Some people feel a heaviness in their lungs when using higher VG. I vape 30/70 (PG/VG) and it doesn't bother me, but everyone's different.

Try doing a google search for vape shops in your area.

+1 to Classy; talk to a doc. It could be any number of things. Some people are allergic to PG and/or VG, two of the main components of e-juice. Perhaps the particular brand of flavor molecule your juice manufacturer is using doesn't agree with you. Who knows. Definitely talk to your doctor. Welcome to the board.

As with a lot of people, when vaping for the first time, most do cough but you will get use to it . What I DID Was To Draw The Vapor Into My Mouth And Hold It FOR A Couple Seconds Before inhaling. So it's like a pause and after a week or so I was good to go.....

All good advice already the only thing I would add is second the different juice ratios. I'm thinking VG to high. My suggestion would be get three bottles of juice with the same flavor one 70/30 one 50/50 one 30/70 PG/VG ratio all with 12 mg nic that way you can narrow down what is causing the problem.

I have provided a little more information which might help you manage your condition. As always, it's best to consult with your doctor.
