My wife and I have only been vaping for about a month now and we both bought E-Go VV E-cig starter kits from a local vape shop. We are both now starting to look at new devices and I find the world of mods very daunting. She has decided on the X-Fire because she likes the wooden skull look. I have read some web sites about that device and it seems pretty basic just with a wooden exterior. I was looking at the sigelei Legend, but I don't like the motion and gyroscope aspect to it as that looks like something that can break easily and doesn't really add anything to the overall appeal to the device besides looking like a light saber. What i want out of a new device is really just more power than the basic E-go i have has and I like the OLED screen that Legend has. Has anyone had any experiences with these 2 devices? Also if this helps, she vapes 0 Nic, because she didnt smoke before, she just likes the flavors and the smoke. I vape 6mg, i was smoking cigars before this.

For power, you cannot beat the MVP2. I have one and can get two full days of heavy vaping from it. Got my sister and her friend one to begin quitting (jumped right over the starter kits) and also an ego-c twist to have charged and ready for a backup. So far they are doing great with this setup. Also went and bought myself a second MVP2 as the prices keep dropping (can get one for 39.99 shipped, or even less) Good luck and welcome to vapingworld!!!

Welcome and sounds like you doing great. Want a new device. Itaste MVP2, haven't heard any problems and everybody loves it. I am getting one in a few days. I have the Itaste SVD and it's reliable, fun, and .....did I say dependable? Order it online or Ebay. Kit comes with all you need. My vote is MVP2 and I don't even have one.

If you’re into building your own coils, I would look into a mechanical and a dripper or RBA (like the kayfun).

I prefer mechanicals, IMO they are like the Universal device, there are no minimum watts and no maximum, it just depends on your coil (How many Ohms your coil is).

The downside is that there are no regulations on a mechanical so a short could be devastating. You also have to look into the proper batteries for your mechanical (Depending on your amp draw from your coil).

Kayfuns are great for beginning to build on RBA and I have heard Tridents are one of the easiest to build on.

Haha, thanks for the quick replies. I am looking at the MVP2 on ebay right now and it looks unlike anything i have seen so far, it kind of looks like a metal juice box. It says that the battery is built-in so I would imagine it cannot be replaced, so how long does that battery last? I am seeing it for about $45 on ebay and around that price on some web sites, so just getting a new device when the battery dies wouldn't be a big problem. It looks pretty interesting and has all of the features that I was looking for. I see it comes with an iClear 30 which is nice. It says that it is 510 threaded so that should work with the Kanger Pro that I want to buy. Sounds good to me, placing an order today!

you shouldn't be sorry with that setup. Yes it looks funny, but once you feel it in your hand, that "funny" will disappear!!!! Another thing I LOVE about the MVP2 is the battery charging. I can use my android phone charger or my kindle charger with it so it reduces the number of chargers I have to keep up with on out of town trips! As far as how long it lasts, I've read a lot of threads here and have yet to hear of one dying yet. Most people feel they will probably get a year to 1 1/2yrs out of it and for that price....I'm good! Can easily replace it at this low price.

One thing I might add...Im not a "fan" of the iclear30. It's ok, I have one setup here at the computer, but don't carry it out and about. I don't like the "draw" of it. Little too much "sucking" to get the vapor I want and if you do draw too hard, it will flood and come thru the drip tip (and that's nasty!) I personally use the Aspire Davide glassomizer and Mini Davide. They both draw really good, the heads in them have lasted me a month on each and I've never had a leak/draw issue with them. They are my "carry around" out and about toppers! Just my :2c:

The MVP2 is a nice PV. I have one and bought the wife one and then the MVP Shine (costs a little more) something that you may show your wife.

I've heard from a year to two on how long the battery lasts. So the way I look at it even if you pay the $45 and it only lasts one year, that is only about .12 a day to own it. Well worth it IMO.

Also, check out J-wraps, they have many many covers for the MVP2....I've got "Diet Vape" on mine and my sister got some abstract pink pattern......

To add; the Shine has a "skull" design available.

Yeah, i just looked up the Shine and the first thing I saw was a bunch of Bedazzled looking designs and almost fell out of my chair laughing but then I saw the black one with the skull on it and it looked like something she might be interested in. I will have her check it out once she wakes up. Thanks 30+ Years!

Sounds like you've already got great advice, and have made a GREAT choice. That MVP2 is a STEAL! I have my "fancy-schmancy" tinkering stuff, but I still love my MVP's. I was a little hesitant of the "look" of it at first (so different than the ego "stick" style or tube mods we're used to), but dang if that little "juice box" as I call it doesn't just grow on ya. It is a nice size for the hand, and that box shape fits very nicely in a pocket and even stays nicely in a purse pocket.

They didn't have the "bedazzled" Shine ones when I bought them, but yeah, skulls are cool, lol! The battery life is great. Holds a charge for DAYS, and many here have used theirs extensively for a year or so. Definitely money well spent (and not even that much, comparatively). The MVP2 is certainly a case where you get MORE for what you pay.

Good luck and welcome! I'll let you get to your assigned reading now ! Seriously, listen to Batitude, he knows what's what!
