Thanks Stormwench, Yes, vaping is very personal. I've read about the different flavors everybody likes but for me I really like sticking with something neutral like tobacco flavor for my daily vape. But I do like some of the fruit flavors like blueberry, blackberry and grape, as long as they're not to strong tasting. You are right about the pg/vg levels. I just bought some that is 80vg/20pg and I think it is smoother for me. I even had to use some of the stuff I had previously that is higher pg today and it irritated my throat. It could be an allergy thing since I do have really bad allergies. I am currently on allergy drops (they're similar to the shots) and 3 different allergy meds. When my allergies were tested this last time it came back that I was allergic to tobacco leaves, which was really bad since I smoked and we raise tobacco so I was always around it. This year we have decided not to raise tobacco and I have quit smoking so I hope my health will start to improve. That is one of the main reasons I was determined to quit the cigs.
I only smoked about 1/2 to 1 pack a day and I did let them burn up alot. I smoked lights until I started rolling my own because with me and my hubby smoking we just couldn't afford to keep buying cartons of cigs. But from the first hit on the e-cig I have not touched an analog and I don't want to. I AM FREEEEEEE!

Thanks to everyone here for all the info and for not making me feel like a total dunce about the world of vaping.

Thanks Myrany, I am still overwhelmed by this secret underground world of vaping. It is HUGE! When I tried the cheap little N-joy e-cigs, I thought, I kinda like these, but I never could get one that worked quite right, then my m-i-l bought the Tsunami 1000x and got me to try it and eventually buy one I thought, Hey, this is such a step up from those other things. But now that I've been on this site and have started learning more I feel like I'm still at the bottom of the totem pole. Don't get me wrong I do still like my Tsunami and it got me off analogs but when the time comes to buy new ones I feel that I have so much more to consider than I did before.

No matter what I get later, I still want one that I can just fill up and go. I don't think I could ever get into building my own or anything like that. But the difference in tanks and batteries and well, everything, is overwhelming. I might, at some point, consider mixing my own juices but I don't think I have what it takes to build my own e-cig. But who knows, if there is a step by step manual out there I might even consider it but for now, I am happy with what I've got and I'm smoke free so, all is good.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
Welcome! Isn't this place great?

I did the same thing as you - I quit smoking when I had kids, stayed off for YEARS until a divorce, then started again - ughhhhh. I'm finally free thanks to vaping and ECF.

I'm glad you tried MBV. I really can't attest to "quality" yet because they are only the second vendor I've tried, but the great thing about them is the price. You can try so many flavors, nics, PG/VG levels, etc. without breaking the bank. And you don't end up waiting for eons for something you aren't even sure you'll like (still waiting for my Fuzion order!) There is the"steeping" factor. I mean, you just started vaping and now you have to wait weeks for your new juice to be ready?! LOL Some MBV juices I've tried seem pretty vapeable right out of the bottle.

One thing to be aware of too is your rate of vaping. It's not always the same as how you smoked. I chain-vape so I use a pretty low nic (I could probably even go from 12 to 6, but need to use up this juice first.) A lot of people are really happy taking one long drag from their PV every ten minutes or more. It's totally subjective, but could definitely make the whole nic thing different for you.

Keep reading ECF - you may not think you are up to doing your own thing, but after doing a lot more reading, you may open up to it! You might surprise yourself and find a new hobby :toast:

I could always use a new hobby! LOL! Yeah, I'm just learning about having to steep and all of that kind of stuff. The tobacco flavor seems to be fine to me without the steeping but the others I think really need to steep.
Also, I am using 12mg but I do have periods where I seem to be taking a puff every minute or so then there are other times when I don't take a puff for an hour. It really varies, but I do think that with my next order I am going to try some 6 mg just to see how it is. I've even considered a 0 mg. Like everyone has said you just have to keep trying to find your own niche.
