Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. I am only 20 years old, been smoking regular ciggarettes for 4 years now. I know this isn't much compared to everyone else, but I figured it's never too soon to start making strides in the right direction. I was sick of the way I smelt, the money being spent, and most of all, my girlfriend nagging at me to stop :). I initially got introduced to E-cig's through blu disposable cigarettes. I took a liking to them, and thought about buying a blu starter kit. However upon further research, I found that there are many better e-cigs out there, and I decided to go with a v2. I am loving it so far, and since the first vape, I have not touched a regular cigarette.

I was actually reading up on the safety of E-cig's, and their possible health effects compared to normal cigarettes when I stumbled across this forum. Elsewhere in my research, I found an article that I had not yet seen posted here yet, and I thought you guys would probably find interesting. It's a legitimate medical study of the cardiovascular effects of e-cigs vs analogs. I hadn't seen it posted here so I figured I would make an account and share it. It is relatively recent. Sorry if this has been posted before. I would be posting this somewhere else but I need to make my 5 posts in the Newbie forum before I can venture outwards :).

E-Cigarettes, Or ‘Electronic Cigarettes,’ Pose No Heart Threat, European Study Finds

And here is the less reader friendly, more medical jargon version...

Welcome to ECF :). I had both Blu and V2 when I started, and the V2 was a lot better than Blu. If you feel you want to upgrade from that, please ask, and a lot of helpful people will steer you in the right direction. There's a ton of info here, so enjoy.

And you are right, no matter how long you smoked, its never too early to try and get off them. You are lucky you are doing it early, many of us have been smoking before you were born lol :p Stick with it, and you'll be much happier when you reach my age :)
