What up? I am new here. I signed up to ask about specifically ecigs. I am a previous smoker that quit cold turkey about 6 years ago and just picked up a Vise Vibe while vacationing and bored.
Just wondering if those are good products or "safe" and I know nothing is really.
Currently not interested in anything bulkier as I like the lightweight compactness that can sit next to my phone in my pocket.
Is there anything better out there?
Well, Vuse products are cheap-to-make and comparatively poor tobacco company products. You pay a lot of money for the privilege of
vaping such 3rd rate systems.
So, yes... there is a whole world out there of much better
vaping products.
In the UK, we trust the health professionals who are not in the pockets of tobacco or pharmaceutical companies and are interested in harm reduction. Public health England estimates e-cigarettes to be *at least* 95% safer than smoking. That means no, vaping isn't 100% safe, but it's far, far safer than smoking.
The tobacco companies 'collected' (bought out) many of the products originally on the market; plastic cig-a-like products that use refills to get your money. I used a refill system in 2013. It would have cost me $4,000 a year. I vape now for $500 a year. Better products, better experience, better in every way. It involves taking a leap of faith and straying from the path of what spending millions of $ advertising buys the tobacco corporations. They want to own vaping and in Europe they actually tried (and failed to a greater extent) to kill off vaping companies and independent products.
There are lots of small (stealth) products out there offering so much more for so much less. You can vape tobacco flavor or branch out. I enjoy both.
Pod systems are popular in the US. I haven't seen them gaining much momentum in the UK and most of the old style cig-a-likes are found in the bargain bins at bargain stores.
You could try a Pod. I personally wouldn't unless you can 'hack' the refills or they are designed to be refilled, otherwise you are just a slave to very greedy people who have no boundaries.
It's not that cig-a-likes are all bad... with enough nicotine they can sort of work.
Pod systems are good, and should make cig-a-likes close to extinction.
Vibe is a hybrid refill and old-style battery type product.
Think of it like printer ink. The ink and the cartridge together make the product. This (pod/refill) is the holy grail for vaping companies and tobacco companies. The profits are teed up if you can convince enough people. I could just about use a vaping company one (although the cost would hurt), but never a tobacco company one.
