Hi there!

My name is Natalie. I'm 27 years old and I live in Central California. I've been smoking regular cigarettes for twelve years now and am making the switch to e-cigarettes. I've tried quite a LOT of brands now and have found most of them to either be low quality products, too expensive for the quality, too low in nicotine content, glitched or damaged, bad tasting, or too expensive. I finally found Blu, and have settled with that company and manufacturer although there were some difficulties along the way - the first kit I ordered was the Premium 100s. The product had a glitch in its charging mechanism. I sent it in for repair and it came back in the same condition. I bought a standard, basic kit from a Walgreens, but later updated to a Premium (but not Premium 100s) off of the official website. I was little hesitant about ordering from them again but figured I'd take the chance as all their products can't be defective, lol. I was right and managed to get a setup that has been working for awhile now and seems to be a product that's well made. I've been ordering refills off their website as you can get them for about nine dollars and some odd cents as opposed to fifteen or more from the gas station. I'm on my way with making the switch to completely discontinuing tobacco products but haven't achieved that entirely just yet. I joined this forum to talk with other e-cig consumers about anything and everything.

Thanks!

Hi Natalie. Welcome. Although Blu and similar styled e-cigs aren't exactly the most popular type here on ECF, you'll find plenty of info and plenty to talk about. There is also a subforum dedicated to Blu:

Blu Electronic Cigarettes

And I encourage you to check out everything else ECF has to offer. It's a good place with helpful, nice people.

Welcome Natalie.

I started with Blu but moved on to something better within a few weeks. I went to Hale G6.
I found the Blu brand to be very inconsistent. Some Cartomizers gave good vapor and some didn't. Also the batteries only lasted at most a few hours. I found that once I used a fully charged battery down to where I could tell the vapor was diminishing I'd switch it out to the other fully charge one in the pack. I'd keep an eye on the pack and as soon as that first battery was recharged I change it out with the one I had switched to. I'd keep doing that through out the day until I got to a power source. I found it got to be a PITA and as I said above some of the cartos just didn't give much vapor.

If you start to fine the Blu brand lacking in a few days, weeks take a look at Halo. You might want to go to an eGo style kit or at least an eGo style battery that has a 510 connection. The Blu cartos are 510 so they work on all batteries that have that 510 thread connection.

In any event keep vaping and cutting down on the real smokes. I'm fairly new to vaping myself and when I first started I cut down from 10 packs in 8-9 days to one pack a week. Then cut that down to only a few a week that I bummed from other smokers and now have been smoke free for 13 day.

Hopefully you can do that also.

Best of luck and best wishes.

PS.
I've now gone Full Bore on eGo batteries. MODs with removable batteries and LCD/LED screens, clearomizers of many different sizes and shapes. Not to mention the many different e-Liquids I've bought in the last 3 weeks.

Natalie, welcome to ecf. I started out on the cigalikes but it did not take me long at all to go to the ego style for a longer battery. I wish now I had just started out on the mvp2 because it is so easy and a fantastic battery life. Vaping has turned into a wonderful hobby for me and making me quit cigarettes was just an added perk. This is a wonderful place to find all the information even though sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming. Just don't hesitate to ask someone anything. Can't tell you how often someone has helped me in the past year of being smokefree. I wish you well and happy vaping.

I've noticed the same thing! Especially with the Vivid Vanilla flavor - they don't give much vapor and don't seem to contain very many puffs before they're expired, yet none of the other flavors do that for some odd reason. And the battery thing is pretty crazy indeed. I have a car charger, a wall charger and a USB charger as well as several spare batteries. I may end up changing eventually now that I'm on these forums and will be able to discover what some of the other quality brands are. So far though, I've had this Blu setup for about six months or longer now and it's actually not that bad - for me anyway, I'm able to make it work. But it does suck that the vanilla flavor doesn't work quite right...

Thanks for the welcomes everyone! :D

I suggest you either look at the Halo G6 or go to an eGo style. There are some places that have Automatic eGo batteries so all you have to do is put it in your mouth and drag off it, no button to push.

I needed that to start with so it simulated smoking. I still use my Halo G6 batteries and mini tanks some times when I'm working so I can just hold it in my mouth like I did with an analog.

The one thing I will say about the Blu brand is they do have some good flavors. I really liked their Cherry Crush and I haven't been able to find anything like it.
