I started permanently using ecigs 2 days ago. I have been a 20+ year smoker and a current bout of bronchitis had me looking for something besides a patch while I was ill. I tried a few store disposables and hated them. Even the njoy's tasted like plastic to me. A friend of mine turned me on to a company who is out of Ohio and their products (WestSide Vapor...no I'm not affiliated I have just really liked the 3 flavors I have tried and their products which I'm guessing are probably generic relabeled products?) and my local tobacco shop sells their stuff. So I got (what I am guessing is a 510...I'm learning everything I can over the last 3-4 days) starter pack. I loved it so much I gave my full pack of smokes to a co-worker by lunch that day. I found the battery life on the short side, so I purchased their VP model today and I am very happy. It's a push button 1300mah battery that you can use while it's plugged in. I wish I knew what this product is (unbranded if I were to look for one on some of the online stores). The closest thing I found was the eGo 1300 but this one takes the regular cartridges that my 510 does. (Any help identifying it would be appreciated).

I'm hooked none the less, and while I know of no way to test the nicotine levels, I'm enjoying smoking the lowest levels of the tobacco flavor. I really like that this tobacco product tastes like cut tobacco smells, kind of sweet. Their vanilla is pretty good, and their coffee taste great but it is a weak smoke to me, there is no hit to it.

At any rate that's been my two day experience thus far, and I've remained "analog free" since I gave my last pack away. Which I'm very happy about. So I just wanted to say hello to this forum, it has been very helpful for a noob such as myself starting to learn about the products and choices. So Thanks!

Hi :D

Congrats! As a new vaper myself, all I have to say is be weary of those damn analogs, they are sneaky Bas***ds, gave in to temptation a couple of times..

Yeah, sometimes the trouble i have is when my girlfriend is smoking in my truck when we're driving some where and .. idk sometimes a smoke with some Mnt. Dew and driving... idk sometimes its hard to not be like heeeyyy can i have one too? Although i am doing good :D, they taste so bad anyway.

Right there with you! Today is the FIRST day without an analog. Can't believe it! After doing my research I decided I REALLY wanted to know where my juice is made. My first reaction to any product that does not list where it's manufactured is it's probably somewhere they don't want me to know because they fear it might cause a loss of revenue for their pockets. Hopefully you can track it down or better yet look into some of the US vendors on here. I am sure some of the senior members can help you narrow down some flavors to your liking.

Congrats Nole! Maybe i can help you identify your step up for ya if you post a picture...

But welcome to ECF, youll learn everything inbetween here!

VP unit
That is a picture of the unit. It's a manual usb through, but uses their prefilled cartridges.
And actually mine was a return, and I found out why, it's already broke. The top where the cartridges go was twisting and it snapped the battery wires...I only paid $9 instead of the full new $25 but it sucks because my local store is closed today. There are not many local stores in the area.
I guess I'm looking for something like this (again) that has the flexibility of manually loading at somepoint, but can take pre-fills as I learn more.
Suggestions?

Thank you for the information. (And thanks to everyone for the welcome!)
