Hi everyone, I'm new here...

I actually wanted to ask a few legal questions about vaping in Singapore but I need to have 15 posts... -_-

Anyway, what about other countries?

I heard there are some countries that banned e-cigs as well but what is the law saying about it? Is it ban on sale only or does it also cover possession and personal use? If so, is there any trouble with vaping in public places where smokers are allowed? Any bull crap move made by authorities/police to fine/confiscate outside of their power?

At least 1 member posted here, from Malaysia....said a cop stopped him and took all his gear....legally. It's illegal to use or possess there as well. I don't know about other places....

Any idea what law are they using to confiscate? Or are they just blowing smoke?

Here in South east Asia, people generally don't question authority so I got a strange feeling that all this confiscation is actually made outside the law...

it was me.. lol. Hi Mike.. The law for us is the nicotine to bring in to our country because of the tax and it is prohibited. My PV's was confiscate and reason behind it was not approved by SIRIM (not sure if you know this department) what they do is to test the safety and blah blah blah. There was no rule yet about ecig in malaysia saying you cannot vape as SHISHA is operating in normal shop as usuall and it is also have nic inside. Most do not know as they were saying it produce vapor and flavor that's it.. why the charcoal then and the throat hit.. I'm writing letter to the government and asking question about this but have no answer yet from them. I'm not to sure about singapore, but i know few fellow vapers there can help you. I know that to bring in is impossible but you have a local vendor there.. Cheers!!

Edited by post as i just receive a PM , What is SHISHA? here are some pic to help

Sorry, I still don't get it. How can a personal item be "confiscated" for "safety testing" bla bla bla? When they confiscate your pv, did they give you any letter explaining the confiscation or they just took it? I am very skeptical government have the legal power to confiscate personal items that is not used for sale...

Any electonic item must be or have a approval of some kind. They confiscate the item when the policeman stop me while i'm vaping in the car. At first he thought is a drug of some kind. Then they ask me to go to the police station for a urine test. Then start from there all my item got stuck.. See my thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/308047-i-have-been-stop-policemen-while-vaping.html. There was also a letter what they confiscate and sending to the department for testing.
