Hello everyone
I'm a newbie to vaping so please be gentle with me...initially.
I just wanted to introduce myself and apologise upfront for any stupid questions I may ask in the future.
I also wanted to thank Oliver and the ECF team for setting up and maintaining this website.
Cigarette smokers have been made to feel downtrodden for so long that it's refreshing to know that now that I've finally decided to put the effort into quitting cigarette smoking that I've discovered a group of folks as awesome as this. Regards, Roscoe17

Welcome @Roscoe17

Whilst that is true, I suspect there's gold hidden in them hills.

On ECF you get good advice all round with a sensible attitude of the owners and helpful insight from forum members.

Sadly, too many e-cig websites exist to sell you stuff purely to make money. One of the top forums in the UK is just a money-making machine... which is why I cancelled my account and came over here.

Beware review sites - they are either biased ($) or downright criminal in how they operate. Beware the big brands - if you are new to e-cigarettes you maybe won't realize that the big brands sell the same products as we all use except they put their own logos on the products to charge more money.

This is how, in 2014, a US brand was charging $199.99 for an e-cig kit I purchased for $46.99

I make that over $150 extra profit on one sale.

Thanks for your welcoming message and sage advice, djsvapour. Prior to discovering this website my only advice/information has been via a retailer here in Melbourne (Australia). It's too late for me now as I've already made my investment in the unit recommended to me, by 'said' retailer. As an indication of whether I should return to that shop, could anyone advise me on the reasonable costs and supplier of the following: Eleaf, iStick 30W SUB OHM (I paid A$89.90) and Aspire, Nautilus Mini (2ml) 4 port tank system (I paid A$49.90). A friend of mine is keen to see how I go with vaping (to help me to quit cigarette smoking) and if successful he aims to purchase a kit also. Thanks in advance to everyone who may reply. Cheers, Roscoe17
