Hello everyone! First post here, but I've been vaping for a little while now, only seriously the last few weeks though. I started with the cheap cig-a-likes a few years ago when they first came out, but they were all garbage. Next I tried some ego-style batteries and clearos and such. Found a few that were alright.

I eeally liked my Vision XJet Spider on my Ego-C passthrough. I still recommend it to people using an ego. It was nothing that was gonna get me to switch from my 2-3 packs per day, especially when juice is actually easily twice as expensive as the RYO cigs I smoked, but it worked when I was out and couldn't have a cig. But then I got drunk one night at a show and lost my pen. Decided there that I was just gonna get a mechanical - one for better hits (I'd tried my friend's Nemesis/Trident clones and while it was a little too much, I knew that mechs/RBAs were for me), and two so that no matter what happens with bans or anything else, I won't be able to be stopped as long as I take care of it.

So now I'm vaping on a Nemesis clone with a Rocket that I got from my friend. I bought a KFL clone, but it was either junk or I hadn't gotten my technique down quite yet with it. I'm gonna try it again as soon as I can figure out where to get a fill screw/o-ring. Mine literally went down the drain. This has pretty much worked for me for the last 3 weeks or so. I've still had a few cigs (ran out of juice for a few days, plus I've just craved a few) but I've went through easily less than a carton in 3 weeks now. I used to smoke 2-3 packs a day, and have smoked up to 5 in a night when intoxicated, so that's saying a lot.

So that's my little story about my vaping history. I'm hoping to learn some more here, and hopefully contribute a little bit myself. Maybe a whole lot once I get better/more experienced with everything.

I have lost more than a few small parts. As time goes on you get better and you start to have a collection of stuff that came with other attys you bought plus you have all the spare parts, except the fill o ring, for a KFL.

As you get more experience building gets better and you learn little tricks that help you the way you build.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not really one to collect stuff like this, so I'll actually probably end up selling off a lot of the stuff I decide doesn't make the cut. The Kayfuns are doing awesome for me once I stopped the gurgling/leaking issues I had when I started trying to wick it. I figure I'll get some other stuff to try out (thinking about a SQuape or a Fogger V4 maybe) and keep what I really like.

Building has definitely gotten a lot easier. I'm generally good with this kind of thing, but it was a bit annoying at first. I'd say it took me 4 coils before I got them right, then I ran through a 25 foot roll of 28g just playing around with different resistances, lol. I'm gonna have to get a 100' or better spool.
