Been perusing this Evic threads but there is so much info! This would be my first APV so all general advice is greatly appreciated!
I am mainly concerned with batteries/charging
Chargers and some basic functions with the Evic.

I have been eyeing lighthound for AW's 18350 possibly 18650's -is the stock battery ok? Will it explodes my face?!! Also been looking at the Panasonic 3400..will it explodes my face? Button top or flat recommended?

Nitecore i2 /i4 charger is what i am thinking does it tell what voltage your battery is discharging at? Or do i need some sort of meter? (Basically so a year from now i know if i need to toss an old battery)
Am i even making sense?

To sum it up just the general upkeep of owning a APV - as i've never dealt with external batteries-has just been plug and play for me-ego's and a MVP. 3 months in and i feel im getting the hang of what flavors/delivery methods i enjoy - looking to embrace some tech!

Thanks in advance!

Well, I'll let some of the more battery savvy folks chime in on those points. With that said...

The eVic was my first and to date, my only APV, and I love it. You can put virtually anything on it and it works great. As far as messing around with variable voltage/wattage, it's just that...tinkering. It's fun to dial in different devices and juices.

I think it has a nice feel in hand and build quality seems good to me, although, my experience is limited. All I had up to this point was eGo style batteries and the "transition" is easy peasy.

Probably what I like most about the eVic is still the ability to charge via USB. Just leave the whole unit together, pop open the USB cover and hook it up.

I just picked up an iGo-L rebuildable drip atomizer (also my first in that realm), and I'm in vaping heaven right now.

Joyetech seems to be firmly behind this device, so new "stuff" will most likely be fast and furious in the offering. I say go for it.

Stock battery is fine.

You can charge the battery via USB cable so you dont NEED the charger, but its recommended imo

I like to run 18350s with the ego-t upgrade tube so its light and small. I would go with flat tops even though both work, the button top makes it so you cant screw the base in completely, and that sort of thing bothers me.

The AW IMR 18650 will probably give you the very best performance in the eVic as it responds very quickly because of it's enormous ability to discharge nearly instantly. 'High Drain' is one thing, how fast it can do so is another, and the eVic does not brake response time.

Mine don't rattle either. But, I have had a couple shut downs. Think I put it down in the cup holder to hard when driving. Shut down is not a problem though, just turn it back on and all's good again.
I've had 2 eVic for almost 5 months and never had one shut down, and they're on the road with me most of the time where the knocks would occur.
