The Ego is a great choice. I have the 650 and it lasts me a full 24 hours with fairly heavy vaping. I used to have a 510 so all I have tried so far is the 510 atty/cart combo and 510 cartomizers and 510 LR cartomizers. At this point I can say I def prefer the cartomizers for ease of use.

Since you are out in the woods alot and don't want to carry a bunch of stuff, I'd say go with the cartomizers.

Hi! Welcome to the forum:)

*long battery life, longer than 8 hours: definitely the 1000mah battery (I think someone even makes a 1200mah). I have the 650mah and if I'm busy it lasts all day, but if I chain vape it can go out after 6 hours. The 1000mah should give you enough time to get there, spend 8 hours, and then get back home again.

*If you don't want to mess around fill filling and topping off carts, I recommend getting cartomizers. What you do is fill a bunch the night before and just bring them with you in the morning. When the vapor drops off you switch to a new one and when you get home you fill them all up again. The eGo cartomizer holds a lot more juice BUT is harder to fill, you'll need a syringe to do it unless you want to make a huge mess. The standard 510 cartomizer also fits it, but it's smaller so you'd be switching out more often... but it's easier to fill. Cartomizers are easier to draw on than carts IMO and provide a better lung hit IMO too.

*you sound like you would do well with 24mg-36mg juice, so get some of each. It doesn't hurt to get some really low mg too so that you can dilute what you have if it turns out to be too strong.

Good Luck!

Yep....biggest eGo you can afford.....900 or 1000mah....and cartomizers. just get the regular 510 cartomizers, I would suggest...unless you want to mess with syringes and such....and even then, I don't really like the eGo cartos....the 510 cartomizers are good. Fill a few.....you can get a package of 5 for about $8.00......and you're good for the day, and then some. Good luck. You can't go wrong (IMHO) with the eGo.....that's for sure.

Welcome to ECF and welcome to vaping! It's gonna change your life............

Refilling carts is prolly gonna be the better choice from the cost perspective. Cartomizers will last longer between refills tho. Cartomizers will have to be replaced more often than attys. Attys cost more per each than cartos. Carts are easier to refill than cartomizers.

For the cash you are saving from not buying cigs, I would say try them both.

Don't know if mega carts and attys or mega cartos is a better value. Give 'em a try.

And good luck with whatever you choose.

I think someone did the math once and they ended up being the same. But, if you are on a budget I recommend a drip tip. Drip tip costs $2-$4 each and there's no filler and nothing to meddle with, just put it on the end of the atty like a mouthpiece and drop a few drops into the end of it- blow the juice down the hole and vape. Each few drops gets you about 10 puffs and then you drip some more drops of juice down.

in order of most expensive to least expensive IMO: cartomizers, carts, drip tip.
in order of most hassle to least hassle IMO: carts, drip tip, cartomizers.

Good luck!

Carts are easier to refill than cartomizers.

FWIW; I totally disagree. Carts FOR ME were a huge PITA. Constant topping off. Here's the steps for topping off your cart (which you will have to do every 15 minutes) and this is AFTER you've modded your cart with blue foam...

*take off cart
*use tweezers to push the filler down
*drip some juice into the cart
*use tweezers to squish the filler around
*drip a couple more drops of juice
*pull the filler up to the end of the cart so it's flush with the top
*top off so it looks like a slushy... oops, too much
*dab with a paper towel or napkin so it's not too much
*put cart back on and vape for 15 minutes
*repeat

--this was just my own personal experience, I'll never use carts again though--

:)
