Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, AND new to vaping. I was an ex smoker who HAD to quit for health reasons (I had major spinal surgery), and as many know, smoking can seriously impede healing. I didn't smoke at all for the 2 weeks I was in the hospital, then held out for another 3 weeks once I got home, and then BAM, one bad day and I was smoking again.

My husband begged me to try vaping and I dug my heels in and totally refused until one night we were at Walgreens buying cancer sticks and I said oh screw it, get the dang vape pen. I ended up with the Blu system, and it was enough to make me like vaping, but I hated the system. So inconsistent, never knew when my carriage was running out, it waned horribly has the batteries died.

So I went online and did some research and ended up with the iStick mini with a Nautalis mini. I LOVE IT! Seriously, it's everything the Blu wasn't, and I haven't had an analog in about a month now.

My ONLY problem, if you can call it that, is finding good juices. My local shops (there are two local ones) both use cheap cartomizers for testing and every single one has tasted different when I got it home and put it in my Nautalis. I've taken to smelling the juice now instead of vaping them and I've had better luck that way. My local store has tropical fruit punch that with a drop or two of a menthol in it is my go to all day vape. So when all else fails, that's what I suck on all day long.

Anyway, I can't wait to get involved in the forums and learn more. I almost bought a Provari yesterday and may go back today and get it, so my joining is partially to figure out whether I really want/need it.

Having vaping all!!

Haida ☺️

WELCOME to this great place------sounds like you are on your way to greater and greater fun and enjoyment with this hobby/lifestyle.

To get past the blu/cigalike disapointing experience and not give up and getting into real vaping like the nautilus and Istick adjustable batteries is the hardest part

Once you get here--where you are rite now----the fun and real enjoyment starts.

Congratulations on getting this far----------a lot of people don't and that is sad.

Yeah, I love it so much I got the same set up for my father in law's wife because she wants to quit and said she'd try vaping, but she never uses it, and I just sit there staring at it longingly as a great second set up that I could totally use for myself. I think she prefers the pen style "cigalike" and finds the iStick and Nautalis too confusing.

I've linked her to all the great YouTube videos that helped me and she won't even watch them. Gah!!! She frustrates me.

I think part of the problem is the juice she's using. She loves Hot Tomale candies and wanted a cinimon juice, but it really is a spicy juice, which may be great when you're craving a candy, but in my opinion it is by no means an all day vape. At least I couldn't. I think she hits it a few times laying in bed watching TV.

I've let her try all my flavors and she goes "mmm, that's nice" and then goes on her merry way. I even offered to let her borrow one of my tanks (I bought an extra Nautalis mini tank so I don't have to swap juices as often) so she could try one that she could vape on all day, and she won't try it. She treats her red hot juice as a candy fix instead of a vaporizer that can get her off the stinky sticks.

Grrrrrr.... she frustrates me. You can lead a smoker to a vape, but you can make them

My thoughts exactly--there are some people that you just can't reach with this real vaping experience.

I've talked to people that said OH I tried those cigalikes and they made my throat hurt and the battery went dead and the little lite at end

of hard plastic thoing did not come on again----guess I will just keep enjoyin my smokes as always.

This is so frustrating and sad to me as I have been enjoying this great hobby now for a year and a half.

Shinyitis? Is that being in love with your new shiny set up? Cause if so, then yes, I totally have it.

The Provari I want is a beautiful shiny silver one with dragons on it, and aside from the cool features, it is beautiful. So shiny!!! lol
Lol, I told you you had it ;-)

Guilty as charged!! Does it ever go away? Don't answer that. I don't care if it never does. It will fuel my obsession.

My husband is laughing because I resisted vaporizing for so long and now I want all these accessories and different juices and a new battery/mod (is that what the Provari would be called? A mod?).

I already bought a second Nautalis mini and could actually go for a few more. I'd love to have all my fave juices loaded and ready to go so I just have to unscrew and re-screw and I'm ready to go. Is that a common thing along vapers to avoid dealing juices in and out of the same tank?

Now my husband is laughing all the way to the poor house because I've fallen in love with it and have this massive wish list. I've already gotten myself different colored drip tips for my different tanks so I know what's what. Yeah, total shinyitis!! LOL

Yep, you've got it, all right, a classic case. I'm going to answer anyway; so far, it hasn't gone away for me. Yes, the Provari would be considered a mod. They are top quality and beloved by their users, if not particularly high on my personal list. It is by no means uncommon to have different tanks set up for different juices. You may wish to experiment with tanks a bit. Different flavors react differently to different temperatures, vape power, coils, etc. Having a few different types lets you swap them around and see where they fit best. Sorry about the ugly diagnosis on the shinyitis thing, but now you know, have fun ;-)

First of all welcome and Congrats! You have now entered the Vaping Zone! I also started out with cig likes then on to Egos. That was soon followed by the iSticks and nautilus mini tanks which I love! Then I got a few REOS! And like you, I have an itch to add a Provari to the mix! I already have 14 to 15 Tootle Puffing set ups going and Mr. CHILI thinks I have lost my mind! He quit cold turkey 9 years ago and doesn't understand my need to vape, but I know I can't stay stinky free without it. I love Vape Mail and he hates it, but he loves that I don't smell like an ash tray! Keep up the good work and we love having you here!

^vote on your set up iStick and Nautilus mini :thumb: That's what I'm using now and I've been vaping 2.5 years.

I've had the same problem trying B&M juices and they taste completely different when you get them in a decent tank. A few online vendors I would recommend that I've tried lately are Home and mech sauce Mechsauce has some really crazy low prices and Junjii has really good juice!

Good luck on your new adventure into vaping!
