Just wanted to say hi. Stopped smoking and started vaping in December. Have found this place friendly and very helpful. Just wanted to be a part of it. I have several mods, rdas, tanks. Interested in heat control. tanks are no problem. Ni200 iffy, really interested in trying pure nickel. Non of my vape shops knows anything. So I was looking for a little help (advice ) on what kind of wire and what kind of build. Tired of dry hits. All help is very much appreciated.

Re: Ni 200, I've been using it on a number of different tanks & RDA successfully. It has the right combination to match the TC chips programming, keep the temperature at what you set it.

I think you have Ni200 confused with NiChrome. NiChrome isn't for temp control. I love my Snow Wolf 200 with Ni200. Just built my SubTank rba with Ni200 at .1 ohm and it is great.

I use tempered Ni200 wire-- it's a bit stiffer so easier to make coils, but chemically and electrically identical-- and have had no problems at all. I use the Steam Engine coil calculator and the Ohm's Law Calculator, and find them invaluable.

I'm going wait a bit on it though until we get past the hype and I can see what people are saying here

Thanks to all the replys, I think your right about being confused about ni200 and nichrome, would like to have some tempered ni200 to play around with. Any advice on where to get it.
also, I have the ipv 3 li. Love it.
I also have the snow wolf 200, but not for long. Works well so far, not sure about 200 watts out of 2 18650s, tell you more as I use it more. But so far to me the most consistent is the ipv4 165 watt. Thanks so much especially for the quick response to all.

I see your original post and 3 others in this thread if that helps.

I have no reason to use the 200 watts the Snow Wolf can provide, I just set it at 70 and let the temp control do its job. Works great for me so I have no reason to upgrade. My next mod, I think I will build a squonk box. Maybe with a temp control chip, maybe mech. Haven't decided yet. I still want to get and try some more rda's, only have a derringer and a Freakshow, and I have a Smok TCT ordered. Also some Kanger nickel subtank coils.

I have the kanger mini with dual air flow with ni200 coils and they are fantastic. I set at 40j and 450-475 and it's perfect. Also save alot of juice and has excellent flavor. Oh yeah, take a small pick and loosen cotton in holes, some can be packed to tight and not enough juice flow which causes the 2nd hit to be dry. As far as some really nice rdas the mutation x v4 is my favorite, the El Cabrón is next and the mad hatter is next. Tell me about waiting 19 seconds before posting.

Hi David and Welcome to the forums!!!! The only thing I can offer in no dry hits is to keep those coils wet... The temp control would help out with that in a decent mod. Rda's work well for non dry hits. The flavor will mute out just before so if you notice a flavor change, open it up and drip some more on.

I do that with all my Kanger coils. I actually use syringes left over from when I gave myself allergy shots. They work well for positioning wicks also and I have no other use for them, lol. Lots of rda's on my must try list, probably easier to list the ones that aren't. Err, that would be the 2 I already have...

I think you are supposed to wait a min between posts. If you don't wait long enough, it will tell you how long you have left before you can post. It's to stop or slow down spam bots. Probably sends a notification to the admin if a boy starts trying to post ever 5 seconds so they can stop it.

Edit; I got my nickel wire off of Amazon. Lightning Vapes or something like that. They had good reviews and shipped fast.

Cool beans. I like it here myself. A little on the over moderated side, but it works so I'm not complaining. Better than a lot of other vaping sites... I'm the same, was smoking 3 packs a day, now I don't even like them.
