Thanks for the encouraging words. I would need some help and need to figure out how to look into this forum.
My question is I have already bought a mod smok majesty 225 with 0.4 ohm coil and x-baby tank . I keep it on 50w as the coil says recommend wattage is 50 to 60w the juice is 3mg
I get a lot of Vapor but no satisfaction. I want to get a little less Vapor and more satisfaction

I used to smoke 4 lite cigs a day.

If you want Less Vapor and More Satisfaction, try a 6mg/ml (or even a 9mg/ml) e-Liquid that has a slightly Higher PG percentage

What PG to VG ratio are you using right now?

I'm afraid you may have chosen the wrong vape setup for a beginner vaper. Your setup is a DTL (direct to lung inhale) designed to make tons of vapor that more advanced vapers might be looking for. All the coils for the SMOK tanks are designed for high wattage vaping (a "warmer vape").

Most beginners do better using a MTL (mouth to lung) tank which have a more restrictive air intake (like a cigarette) and use lower wattage settings for a "cooler vape". I think you'd gain more satisfaction with a MTL tank.

You could shelve the SMOK tank for the time being, and get a MTL tank like an Innokin Zenith or Aspire Nautilus 2 to use on your SMOK Majesty mod.

Innokin Zenith MTL tank (top fill)

  • 0.8ohm Zenith Coil - rated for 15-18W
  • 1.6ohm Zenith Coil - rated for 10-14W

Aspire Nautilus 2 MTL tank (top fill)
  • 0.7ohm Nautilus 2 BVC Coil - rated for 18-23W
  • 1.8ohm Nautilus 2 BVC Coil - rated for 10-14W

Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper

3 mg nic should be more than enough for a 4 cig a day smoker, but you might try 6 mg nic when first starting to vape. The nicotine is responsible for that "kick" in the back of your throat when you smoke or vape.

Innokin Zenith D22 MTL Vape Tank
Yes it would. If you were worrying about tank overhang, the mod's dimensions are:
  • Dimensions: 85.1mm by 46.1mm by 30.6mm
The Zenith tank comes in two sizes. A 22mm 2 ml liquid capacity and a 25mm 4 ml liquid capacity.

Any reason you want the smaller capacity 22ml over the larger capacity 25mm?

No reason, I just did not know about it and the website which I landed directvapor showed this first so that's the only reason
Now I'm thinking I should have joined this forum before buying anything.
And I am not worried about the tank overhang .. Just was wondering if it would leak and would be be able to pass electricity to the tank.. And the threads would match or not .

Nearly all mods and tanks use a standard 510 thread connector.

Any tank that holds liquid has the potential to leak. But generally a leaking tank is due to a user error.

Tank Tips:

Flooding is a common occurrence in e-cigarettes. The definition of flooding is getting juice into the air passage of the tank. This can include any point between the mouth piece and the very bottom part that connects to the battery. Each tank has holes in that air passage, where the wicks passthrough. This is required for the device to work properly. Unfortunately, this opens up the possibility for flooding. The trick with flooding, is knowing how to avoid it. I’ll explain a little more, but a few common causes for flooding a tank include: improper filling, over filling, pulling too hard when hitting the device, and the temperature can even play a role and/or damage.

Improper Filling: When filling your tank, you have to be careful not to get juice into the center tube of the tank. This center tube is the air passage. When you take a draw, air comes from the bottom of the tank, through the air passage and into your mouth. If you get juice into this passage way, your tank is flooded.

Over Filling: If you over fill a tank (specifically a top coil like the ones that come with the starter kits and gift boxes), the wicks can become over saturated and just like a rain cloud, they will leak into the air passage. Once this happens, you have a flooded tank.

Pulling Too Hard: As I mentioned the wicks absorb the juice in the tank. As you pull on the device, you cause a vacuum effect that pulls juice into the wicks. If you pull too hard, you can pull in more juice then the coil can vaporize. If this happens, the juice leaks into the air passage and you have a flooded tank. Use a gentle draw technique.

Temperature: E-Juice is a viscous liquid. Which means that as it warms up, it will thin out. And in the opposite form, it will thicken when it gets cold. When it thins, it is more difficult for the wicks to hold back the thin juice. This usually causes the wicks to over saturate and, you guessed it, it will leak into the air passage and you have a flooded tank.

Damage: There are o-rings and gaskets used that can wear out with usage. If certain ones fail or get lost, leaking will occur, in turn flooding the air passage and causing you to have a flooded tank. Other than accidentally losing something, damage can occur when its carried in a purse or a pocket or by over tightening the tank to the battery. Over tightening is a very common cause of leaking due to the damage it creates.

Thanks for the great tips . Really appreciate it
Zenith 25mm is a great tank. I agree with Baditude it would serve you better for now. You can wash and put up the Prince for a backup. You may find down the road you'll enjoy it.

Guys i have one more question which I was searching and could not find out about
My smok price tank is taking too much liquid / juice . I take like 100 puffs and approx 6-7 ml of juice is consumed
In my search I found that 3 ml should give me ~200 puffs ...
Am I using a lot of liquid

A "Puff" is kinda one of those Subjective terms.

And someone using a Single Coil atomizer at 15 Watts is probably going to go thru Less e-Liquid than someone using a Dual Coil (or More!) set-up at 60 or 70 Watts.

As long as you're Not Smoking, you are Doing It Right.

Welcome aboard.

I started out with the tank you have and found it just has way too much airflow. It's made for big drags with lots of steam.

I ended up using Zenith tanks. Now your existing battery box will work fine. You just turn the watts waaaaaaaaay down for a Zenith tank. Depending on coil pack choice you go from between say, 12-16 watts or 15-20 watts.

Your consumption will be drastically reduced. And time between battery charges will be days and days.

First you have to find the drag right for you. Throat hit like the cigarette, big draw straight to the lungs, or something in between. Once you have that figured out then you can decide if you prefer a one cell, two cell or built in battery modular box. Or just keep the Smok.

Best regards in your quest. It can be daunting at first as folks say "awe man ya gotta try X or Y"... "Build your own" and all that. Just take your time, develop your own style and enjoy your new hobby.

Thanks for info.. M going with Zenith tank with 1.6 ohms and see how it goes.. Smok has too much hot steam and consumes too much liquid which makes me worry a little bit

STL tanks, with low ohm coils and using suggested wattage will consume a great amount of juice. It is what helps, beside vg content, to make large clouds.
The 1.6 coil on the zenith will take approximately one tank to break in. Afterward, the flavor will pop.
