I going on a couple of months vaping now and really loving it. I'm using at different time a 510, 808, 901. I'd lick to step it up a notch for a better vaping experience I like using a PT but I hate the 510's in line battery that IMO is not very consistent. the 808 and 901 PT seem ok. I spend a lot of time at the computer as I'm disabled and have lot's of time to kill.
Would one of the higher end PT's make a difference? I've looked at the PS PT and VP pt do others exist? or should I consider a mod? and if so which one I relly get lost with all the models out there. I seem to read that 5v seems to be the ideal voltage.
What do you think? All opinions appreciated!

You could get a BB from Altsmoke, there is a passthrough connection for it, and it is fantastic! I have one now, and another on the way. The BB can run at 3.7, 6 volts, and 5volts with the PT. This gives you all the versatility you could ask for, and the construction is top notch! I think you can also do this with the Protoge (but not 6 volt), also, I think the Bartleby can work as a PT and is affordable, but I have not tried one. There maybe some others, and I'm sure people will chime in with ideas.

What is it that you don't like about your 5v 808 passthru? I use a couple from V4l both at home at work and it's working out great. Granted, there are issues with how rugged they are (fixed with super-glue where the wire goes into the ash cap), but apart from that, it's a solid 5v vape.

As Spiker mentioned, the BB passthru from altsmoke.com would be an option. If it's built anything like the BB, I'm sure it would be a rock-solid device. The price may be a bit steep compared to your average PT, and it's also probably a bit larger than what you are using now. But, in trade, you get a device that's just about as reliable as you could expect.

But for me personally, I'm more than pleased with my KR808 PT from V4L. And fwiw, they are in the process of sturdy-ing up the wire connection ;-)

Milky thanks for the reply, A wonderful lady generously donate a V4l pt to me and it is by bar the best cartomizer experience I've had. As you stated I am a little concerned about it's durability though I understand for the price it's well worth it. I didn't realize it was 5 volt, thus the great vapor from cartomizers I'm experiencing, but I would love to have one unit with the proper adapters of course to benefit from using all 3 of my favorites, the 510, 901 and now cartomizers. I am new to this and really enjoying vaping after 30+years of 2+ packs, maybe I'm just missing some of the basic facts. Thanks for your input!

If you like the V4L passthru, then why not pick up the adapter for the 901 and the adapter for the 510 and be done with it? Also, the V4L Passthru will probably rock even more if you connect it to one of these:

USB Dual Power Adapter

None of my computers power the passthru as well as the item at the link above does. Your mileage may vary.

I just received my VP Passthrough and so far I'm loving it. I've been through a few V4L passthroughs and their longevity is not good. The VP is a good looking device with a solid construction. I use cartomizers on it and carto's at 5V are the shizdiggity! Hope this helps.
Yeah the VP PT is most excellent... I was never big on leds, but the VPs is fun to see :p... nice and sturdy unit... I would say 10x better than any china made for sure..... love the globe holder as well hehe.
