What would the disadvantage of using the battery below or similar for a personal vaporizer? At least on the surface it looks like it would outperform anything I have seen so far.

You mean in a mod you create yourself? It wouldn't fit in any commercially available mod.

You realize that that battery pack is really two 3.7V 2300 mAh 18650 batteries. Whether that battery pack could work (and how a modder would implement it) I leave to others far more technically astute than I.

The Tekk Mod does something similar, adding a regulator to bring it down to 5.3V.
