With 80 PG my cotton can last 2 weeks without getting dark and having to rewick , it is just heaven . Idk why so many ppl get the exact same negative effects from pg that i get from vg . Well i'm glad you found your favorite base, nevertheless there's no need for hostility towards other vapers.

Some people are allergic to PG, some don't need or like the throathit, some prefer VG because it gives them more vape satisfaction, some prefer PG because they need less flavours. Isn't it a wonderful world full of choices?

You are making the case for DIY. I mix 60/40, use 10mg nic and 1.5% flavoring. There's no place to buy that. After all that my DIY cost of ingredients is 1.2 cents per ml. In the long run most e liquid consumed will be DIY. If you are going to be a life long vaper you'll be mixing and rebuilding sooner or later. To get started make unflavored mix and use it to dilute a pre mix you like. Most e liquids have more flavoring than needed.

Eventhough i consider DIY juice as part of my vaping 'hobby', it's probably not something i would like to do all day long (unless i sold it maybe). But the advantages it brings are huge to me: my exact personal vg/pg ratio; my preferred nic level; the nic brand of my choice; experimenting with flavours, always that hunt for the perfect recipe, love it; and the fraction of the costs compared to factory juice.

It takes me an average hour per two months to make 1 liter of liquid, divided over several flavours. Every morning i take a 20ml bottle and put in several steeped juices so my daily vape is never the same. Kinda like cooking without recipes, but in the end you just know how to make that perfect Bolognese sauce.

Yeah, I prefer higher PG. Ideally, I want at least 70 percent PG, but I can deal with 50/50, if it's all I can find. One of the local shops has now gone to 70 percent VG, so they are off my radar. Unfortunately, the deeming regulations are already having the effect of limiting available choices. Each mixture of PG/VG is going to be a "separate product" so a lot of the shops are going to limit themselves to just one mix, and it will be one that the majority of vapers want. It sucks, but it's not a good reason to trash others' preferences.

I prefer high PG as well. If there's any hostility, I'd say it's directed at all the companies that only offer high VG. It used to be a little frustrating to me.

I think it's funny how times have changed. When I started vaping almost everyone was vaping mostly PG juices for flavor, throat hit, and atomizer longevity. The only people who used VG juices were people who had a sensitivity to PG. Now it seems almost everyone is vaping high VG juices and the only reason I can figure is so they can blow bigger clouds.

Some call it progress, many called for the changes. I like neither...

Two main reasons I DIY? I do not have to put up with the crap others like and I despise.

90% PG plastic squeeze bottles, 2-4% flavouring is My preferred vape.
Plenty clouds and TH for me at 40-50 watts.

I make 2 week batches or 4 week batches. Both take the same 30 minutes max. I rewick twice a week, rebuild twice a month, an hour max per month. The only atomizer I use is an SV rda clone. I redrip about 14 times a day, no more than 15 seconds each time so a couple minutes a day. Add it all up and it's way less time than I used to spend standing outside smoking.

If I did 80 PG I would be heading for the emergency room with a severe case of hives & be put on oxygen... after about 20 minutes. My entire vape career with high PG liquids lasted - four days.

That being said, I agree with the OP....high PG is where it's at for flavor and throat hit for me (ex-smoker).

My ADV is probably at least 80% PG according to estimates (the company is mysterious about it for some reason). Recently, they released a high (70%) VG version. I tried a bottle and...well lets just say I went back to ordering the classic version.

If all that was available when I started was high VG, I honestly don't know if I would have successfully switched from smoking to vaping. This October will be 3 years without a stinkie, btw (35+years smoking 2-paks/day, Marlboro reds).

Now, if you're allergic to PG, well that's a different story....

I have been vaping either subohm tanks or RTAs for well over 18 months, and yes, I do enjoy clouds especially when I am vaping at home. It is what works for me, and keeps me from falling back into the habit of smoking cigarettes.

Please explain to me how in the hell I am ruining vaping?

Choices.... its what we all want out of so many things in life, Thank goodness that in liquid we have it.

WHy is it that our preference is the most important? So you dont want to DIY, so where is the problem? I have found many sites that offer what preference we want?

Some like clouds and its their choice. Why is it always us against them? Cloud chasers vs what ever normal clouds are deemed to be normal? WHy? I like clouds when I want and not so cloudy with some flavors.

Sometimes Im stressed out and fast, large clouds satisfy. Other times a tighter draw is relaxing and enjoyed. Pretty soon if all the FDA regulations hit the way some fear, we might not have a choice but to pay big prices for what someone decides is safe and needed.

I dont like high PG, the taste is harsh , to ME. PG hurts MY throat. I had a hard time in the beginning even finding 50/50. People who make products usually dont "decide" because its what they like, they are in it for money. SO if the people spending money made a shift to higher VG I doubt it was some sort of conspiracy to make the PG people suffer. If no one liked the higher VG and did not spend money on it I doubt they would spend the time and money manufacturing something that would sit on a shelf because no one bought it.

I like PCs, and think that the MAC IOS is silly so should all MACs be banned? Because I went into design I was forced to have to use MACs and hear all the ridiculous attitudes about PCs not being able to put out anything artistic. Its nice to have choices.
