No. You may be talking about different batteries. These have the over current threshold on the pcb set to 3.0 - 3.5 Amps. So the max drain rate is about 3.5C. You should be able to use a regular Joye 510 with these. The specs look like they are perfect for our application.

Rechargeable Batteries & Battery Chargers - 4 RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Protected Batteries with a Smart Charger

Ahh...yeah I was talking about these: Rechargeable Batteries & Battery Chargers - 6 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh LiFePO4 Rechargeable Batteries with a Smart Charger -Specials (which are the ones I usually see people suggesting)

the ones you linked yeah...look ok-ish ...still I'd be somewhat uncomfortable about the 3A typical overcurrent threshold when the Amp draw of a Joye 510 atty is around 2.6A at 6V....but they should work

O c'mon... these look perfect! :D That's a whole .5A to spare, lol -- within the mfg specs.

Pretty much my only other alternative is unregulated RCR123a's at 3.7v each... probably a bit much for most everything. I'm loaded up on 901s and KR808Ds anyway. They all test out at 2.9 - 3.2 ohms. I do have about 10 Joye 510s though that I've got lined up for 5v use on the passthrough at home in front of the PC.

I've got to have protected. The over discharge protection is one thing, but maybe more important for me is the under discharge protection. Drain a battery too far and it's toast. I'm not going to want to always swap them out way ahead of time just to be sure. I want to just vape until they cut off. Then you know. Otherwise it's going to be "well, they are somewhat weaker but it would be really inconvenient to swap batteries right now and I really want a vape..." It wouldn't take me long at all to ruin my batteries.

lol right..I get you...and I'm putting them on my "hey these are ok list"....so far the only real Li-Ion option and the only option with that low voltage cutoff which does make them more hassle free...cuz up to this point the only good solution has been specific LiFePo4...and like you point out those take monitoring...

my mistake is that when tenergy came up I assumed the tenergry yellow labeled LiFePo4...which are the ones I see everyone always pushing...and I discounted long ago..

My eyes glazed over several posts ago, just a regular blond girl here, hubby takes care of anything with a number in it ;) (well, gray now, but used to be blond:oops:)

But we've been using them for months (at least 5, probably 6) with 901 attys (not LR or HV, just regular old bestecig 901 attys) and starting last Friday, 808d cartos and I've not had over-whatever or under-whatever problems. They just work. I like that. Nothing else about my e-cig is that dependable.:2c:
