Highbrow Vapor Blackberry Limoncello
Recently I have read several outstanding reviews on this vendor so I must admit that I was moved to try
them due in part to the quality of those reviews.
I have discovered three major flaws with fruit vapes. First the flavor profiles tend to lean towards
candied versions of the flavors. This isn't usually a major issue; who doesn't like a Jolly Rancher
Raspberry or Watermelon candy, but none the less if I wanted a candied berry, I'd look for that
specifically. Secondly, there is little or no hang time. The flavor may be pleasing, but if it disappears
after three or four puffs, what good does it do? The bakery flavors don't do that. Neither do the coffee or
candy flavors I've tried, it just appears to be the fruit flavors that require some down time in order to
enjoy them. Thirdly, little to no vapor production. Look, I was a smoker, I enjoy seeing billowing clouds
of vapor pour from my mouth or nose. I don't know why I do, but I do.
Highbrow Vapor appears to have resolved each of these problems, at least with the Blackberry Limoncello.
Robin's review of this flavor on ECF convinced me to give it a try, but it's the juice itself
that is going to make me a returning customer.
Blackberry Limoncello (double flavor) 6mg nic, 80pg/20vg (recommended mix)
Flavor Profile: outstanding
Vapor Production: Strong
Throat Hit: light (may be due to the very low nic content)
The equipment: 510 mod, 3.7 volts, on a 1.5 ohm atomizer. This is my standard rig, my go-to device. I also
use a 801 pen-style
Straight from the Mailbox:
Prior to arrival I contacted Bryan and asked about steep times. He wrote back and stated that in order to
reach full potential his juices should steep for about a week with the cap off. Yeah, like I was going to
be able to allow them to sit there for a week with the cap off and not sample them. The initial aroma of
the juice was a very pleasing blend of blackberry and lemon. I was surprised at how dark the juice
appeared, even darker than the cappuccino diablo I also ordered (and will review seperately). My initial
sampling (just three drops on my atomizer) was astonishing. On inhale I could taste a light but distinct
blackberry flavor followed by the clean citrus of lemon on the exhale. I continued sampling until the
atomizer began tasting dratty. Both fruits taste quite natural without the candy sweetness that I've found
in every other fruit vape I've tried to date. Nor did the flavor fall off after three or four puffs.
Interestingly enough it hung in there and that truly astonished me. Popping the dripper cap off the bottle
I set it on my shelf and tried to see if I could let it steep for a full week. You'll see in a moment how
long I was able to go.
7 days later:
Honestly I've sampled this juice every day that I've had it. The flavor is too good to just wait a week, no
matter how good the results might be. After about three days of steeping in a dark room with the cap off
the juice is rounding off quite nicely. Both flavors are still outstanding, but the blackberry has picked
up a little sweetness. Don't confuse this with a candy sweetness, it's much more like the berry has
ripened. The citrus hit from the lemon has toned itself down a little and the entire juice feels very
finished. This continues to be the best fruit vape I've ever tried so far. It has a clean fresh taste that
reminds me of natural fruit. After a week my opinion of this juice has only continued to improve. It is by
far the best fruit vape I have ever tried and one of the best juices I have tried period.
I certainly plan on trying more flavors from this vendor and hope that all of them are as outstanding as
this one has been.
