MY EXPERIENCE & OPINION YMMV

Yes, I am very behind in the popular juice market what can I say. Highbrow has a large fanbase. I've heard a lot of love, and heard some hate. I asked Bryan to make these juices to my liking (9 of them). Sweet, (where they are supposed to be sweet) and medium flavored. So that is the standard I will use when describing these juices.

Will my brows go high in amazement? Or will they furrow with disappointment because it's just like the rest?

It was interesting to smell. It has that classic ry4 nutty smell but ramped up in American style. I first vapes it solely yesterday afternoon at work in a carto, then all of last night on an atty.

The Ry4 in a carto really brought out the tobacco flavor. It is that grassy/straw like type tobacco flavor. Bryan was able to match my request and this is a medium flavor and lightly sweet. Just as it should be. Ry4 wise its a custom blend vs. classic Chinese type.

On a atty the vanilla caramel notes are more dominant and more ry4 like than just a sweet tobacco. Rich and pleasing for sure. Its quality juice and unlike what some others have said I didn't notice any weird chemical taste. There's a bit of nuttiness to it it. Use an atty or else it will seem rather run of the mill.

Here's the thing. It's a smooth nice blended RY4. and I enjoy it but its not especially unique. It is a good sweet tobacco and addictive. I would rank it slightly above average and a worthy purchase. If that straw grassy tobacco offends you then stay away. The drier your atty gets the more pronounced it becomes.

I also tried this as my first order was from altcigs. I got some ry4 from them. It tasted ok but had no throat hit. I did taste some caramel in it. So I thought hey I like ry4. So I got some from highbrow ry4. its the 18mg 80/20 mix. So far I am not tasting any caramel or vanilla. I actually cant describe the taste. given its only been steeping about 3 days but I thought I could at least taste some other flavors by now. I have to admit its better than it was straight out of the box. Am I missing something or does it just need more time? I am using a ego twist. I have tried it in a carto and my mini viva. I dont know maybe ry4 just isnt for me.

45root,

Well, yes and no. You might or might not be missing something. The retail marketplace for RY4s is huge. Some have in-your-face intensity of flavors, others are amazingly subtle. In some RY4s, the individual flavoring ingredients shine forth separately. Others are so well blended that no single ingredient (tobacco, caramel, vanilla, and sometimes nuts---those are the basic flavors) can be easily discerned.

Highbrowbacco RY4 is very eccentric and far from a typical flavor profile for RY4, so don't blanket judge all RY4s by that one.

Steeping is important and generally helps the component flavors of RY4 to develop and complement each other. Halo Tribeca (a custom RY4) didn't come alive for me until it had steeped for five months.

Just got an once of HBV's RY4 from a vendor ConstanVapor. The born date was in August 2012 so it has steeped for some time. I have been vaping for just under 2 months and have only tried 1 other RY4 from High Desert Vapes. I really liked the version from HDV. Constant Vapors has a 25% off sale till the end of the month so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to pick up some Higbrow liquid. I have been puffing on and off on this stuff all afternoon. I dont hate it but dont really like it either. It has a wierd flavor that I can't describe. Its not like other reviews where folks say I taste a hint of this and a bit of that on the exhale. It just has a wierd flavor like a straw grass or lemon grassy flavor. I don't taste any vanilla, carmel, nuts, cocoa, or tobacco. I am using a 2.4 ohm head on Vivi Nova on multiple Volts with an Vision Spinner if it matters. May just take a little time to grow on me. I am still looking forward to trying other Highbrow liquids because I hear an awful lot of good stuff about them.
