So this was my second order from HighBrow. First off with a discount I paid $25.50 for 30ml if not it would have been $27.75 and I thought Janty was high, anyways the price would be fine if the juice could back it up but that fell short about 15 dollars. Out of 3 the juices are mostly PG which to me makes it dry, the flavor is low which I think is the biggest money waster. Yes it comes wrapped up all nice with a bow but when you open it up its just a over priced bottle of PG. I will say that the service is great.

Yes, the price is quite right for the 30ml bottles themselves.

Passerbyeus, I'm sorry you were disappointed in the juices. I think HBV's standard "mix" is 70/30 PG/VG; however you can always customize their juices to 100% of either PG or VG, or anywhere in between. You can also customize for extra flavor; more or less sweetness; mixing with another flavor(s); etc. etc. -- all at no additional charge!

I'm a little surprised you found the flavor lacking in intensity. Perhaps you needed to let them steep? Or maybe it was the particular flavors you got (I find the fruit flavors, and the tobacco Exotics, to be extremely strong in flavor, but I also let everything steep from 3-4 weeks).

If you don't mind my asking, which flavors did you get?

Got mine in today. I haven't had any new juices in a while... should I do something naughty and try them now?

P.S. I swear I get naughty-er than that ... my life isn't that boring!!!

 Not naughty is just fine by me! :D

From what I've heard, the malt definitely needs to steep . . . but the vanillas may be tasty right away (although they too definitely deepen and improve with steeping). Don't know about the Creme Brulee . . . but I'm a confirmed steeper by necessity, so I'm always prejudiced in favor of steeping! :)

Some naughty-ness......

I may give them a try and re-test them ab 3 weeks from now!

Since we don't know what liquids you ordered I might just be shooting in the dark. I've tried mostly their tobaccos. Every time I ask for as strong flavor as possible. The cigar gets extremely intense. While not everyone will be a fan of Highbrow, a lot of people don't realize that they will try to do any customization you desire. The cigar is the most intense tobacco I've ever had (because I requested it), the perique with vanilla is second most intense (because I requested), and the French Pipe hits hard as well. It's all in the request

Sorry the value wasn't there for you, OP'er. t ordered 7 flavors from them during their 20% off St. Paddys day sale. Every one of the flavors absolutely knocks it out of the park. My wife and I both are very impressed. I let them steep for a coupleish weeks, and now plan to do a mini review of each before too long. They have great service as well, count me as a fan of Highbrow. Spendy? Yes, but I'm my case the 20% off helped defray my costs a bit.

Steeping mostly just makes a mix ...mix togather , a lack in flavor is what it is, like stated for the price you can find a way cheaper vendor for the same quality.....

Sorry, we're just going to have to agree to disagree about the value/chemistry of steeping (like the aging of cheese or wine).

As for the prices . . . you can find both cheaper and more expensive juices, no question about it; but $15 for 30ml just doesn't seem at all out of line to me (if anything, it's a tad on the lower side of average, that I've seen, especially amongst US juice-makers).

I really would like to know which flavors you got, as I dislike "light" flavors and would hope to avoid/order extra flavor on those if I do order them someday. Thanks! :)

I guess KBV has me spoiled when it comes to flavor.... :vapor: but that is a tuff one to compair and not fair really

Do you not steep your KBV juices?

I so wanted to love KBV when I first tried them last year; no matter how much I steeped, I just could not get them to taste "right" to me (a lot of this was apparently due to a general inability I have decided I have to taste bakery/dessert vapes; I think I was also put off by the KBV base. :()

Again, I would really like to know which HBV juices you got. :)

I was very impressed with Highbrowbacco RY4 when I first got it. It was different and distinctive. Plus, I really liked the sophistication, style, and wit of the site design, the no-holds-barred creativity of the flavorings, and the obvious care the owners put into their products. A class operation all round. Over time, however, my first impression faded. I guess I'm just an "old school" fogey, but I've concluded (again) that cocoa has no place in an RY4. It's just wrong somehow. (Gee, that sounds awfully small-minded and parochial, but it is how I feel).

I continue to like the people at Highbrow and their business style, but I haven't yet pulled the trigger and ordered any more of their juices. I guess I'm on the fence about whether their palates synch up with mine.

Wow, you found Orange de Sangre lacking in flavor?!! (I think that is a very powerful, tasty juice; and I like in-your-face-flavor. But again, I let everything steep for 3-4 weeks.)

I normally vape at around 4.2 volts. I suspect a lot of the "subjectivity" on juice flavorfulness arises from a combination of steep time and voltage used.

Thanks for the review. I disagree about the flavor, i think their juices are strong on flavor. I liked the taste of all i ordered, including the orange de sangre (which is delicious). It has the true orange flavor but i taste a bit of the rind, which is probably the bitterness you detected. The hazelnut cream is awesome and so is the pear. I ordered the 80/20 mix, which turned out to be a little too thin. It actually seems thinner than an 80/20 mix. The vapor is very scant. Dripping is akward. I get a lot of gurgling and juice in my mouth. It seems to leak a lot more. The juices were decent in a DC 1.5 carto @ 5 v. If i order again I will be sure to get an all VG mix. (The tastes are the most authentic fruit vapes ive had yet)

Yesterday I ordered 3 flavors from Highbrow: Vanilla Bourbon Bean, Vanilla Bean Decadence, RY4
all @24mg and 80pg/20vg.

I just noticed that the order was unfulfilled and am considering requesting another flavor to replace RY4. Any strong suggestions? Anything else that you'd consider "outstanding"?

I might not be able to switch at this point, but I'll keep strong suggestions in mind for the future.
Thanks in advance. :vapor:
