Yes it is (I went and checked), and the waiting period is so that after you (presumably) contact the vendor before you make the negative review, the vendor has time to respond.

Kudos to ECF for that setup.. issues take time to resolve.. and it gives the vendor a chance to defend themselves.

That said, i reserve the right to ..... if my bottles leak lol

I've never had issues. Overseas might be a different story.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by every other vendor I've ordered from before, but I'd expect at least some effort into neater packaging for a $100+ order. Instead I got this little paper bag and inside one plastic zip-lock with all 15 bottles mushed in, all covered in the greasy e-liquid that leaked and bottles with just a sticker saying the name of the liquid (no mg/ratio info).

I have ordered from cheap and high traffic vendors before and most of them send in boxes, neatly distributed bottles in different baggies. But this was a bit unappealing to see after a 2 week wait.

The juice smells nice tho, too bad I can't try it due to a flu.

Guess you have been spoiled in other situations. I have never gotten e-liquid in a box (no matter the price) and never individually packaged per bottle. I usually get mine in zip baggies, as many as will fit in each and then places in either a flat rate envelope or a bubble wrap bag. Never had a leak but that seems like a thing that could happen to any shipment box or bag or whether they were in individual packages or not. Guess individual bags would help keep others from getting sticky if one did leak though.

Isn't getting a leaky bottle now and then sort of a risk for both vendor and consumer with plastic bottles just like breakage with the glass bottles? I may have missed it in here somewhere but did they send you a replacement for the one that leaked?

Juice is so subjective its hard to know with the taste. Heck some of my favorites can taste bad according to my mood some days. People like some vendors products, others don't some are neutral but not liking it makes no one wrong, you have your taste and they have their chef. And its like like eating out, if you don't like how the food tastes you know to pick another place sometime and realize that the guy at the next table may come back all the time cause he found it to his liking.

I think not liking an e-juice should not be held against a vendor. It might not taste how you envisioned by their catalog and what the write up was but what might taste like chocolate to you could taste different to them :)

Sounds like you have had good experiences with flavors elsewhere so that is good you know where to go ;) And it leaves it open for a review on this vendor that has a different take on it.

All over the place
How much can they really 'fully mature' tho? I've had a bunch of juices for over that time and in my experience taste only changes mildly. It'd have to be a miracle for this stuff to suddenly start tasting like tobacco imo

Which tobacco are you looking for? If you are looking for Black Cavendish (which is a flavored pipe tobacco, not a specific leaf, usually made from Virginas and/or Burleys double fermented and flavored with vanilla, cherry, chocolate, coffee, etc.) then you got that in spades with HHV. If you are looking for more raw leaf tasting juices, you won't really find that at HHV for they utilize more flavored pipe tobaccos. They don't only use flavored pipe tobaccos (though most tobaccos are cased in some type of additive, even if just sugar water or molasses), but most of HHV tobaccos are going to have that "other" taste standing on top of the tobacco bottom.

I used to believe, like you, that most juices only change a little bit, that is until I had juices completely transform.

All things being considered, I do understand that if I was to receive a package like that with that amount of money spent, unfortunately, the mood for openness toward a vendor's flavors may have been tainted. I don't know if this is what is going on with you, but sometimes it's hard to enjoy your meal even if it is good, after the waiter spills a dink in your lap. That said, if you can get past this hiccup, you may find some truly unique flavors, irrespective of whether the juices read as tobacco in the way you imagined they would.

Ahlusion, Copper Creek and Highbrow all mail in boxes, and that's just the few I happen to use regularly. They also do super-careful bubble wrapping, and I've never seen even the hint of a leak. (Ahlusion's bottles are SO well done, in fact, that they look like they were shrink-wrapped by NASA. I think you could mail those puppies to Pluto without any problem at all.)

I only ordered from HHV once, and I distinctly remember being underwhelmed by the packaging and presentation, but that was quite a while ago. I do remember that minor leaks had messed up the labels, and that the whole thing just looked a bit ginchy. This was just a handful of small bottles, though, so it may have been uncharacteristic.

Anyway, I think if I was ordering juice from overseas I'd stick with venders who either package well as a matter of course or offer a sturdier international shipping option on request. Filing complaints properly after the fact is all well and good, but I'd rather just avoid the whole problem myself. Maybe the OP could start a packaging thread for people who use international shipping on a regular basis? Comparing notes might save a good bit of guess work.

:)

Good luck!
