My opinion (that I hope is wrong)
This great article will will never be seen other than in RS or E-cig forums. My reason for saying this is... Have you ever watched the TV news? The dominant advertiser is Drug Commercials. Why would BP put up with Real News about a product that threatens their 'Territory'. Add to that our BG Controlled Media touting their latest PC agenda.
I hope I'm wrong but the RS article won't make a ripple, much less a splash.

Idk Greg Gutfeld (Fox news) has mentioned e-cigarettes many times. He even debated someone who was against them. I looked up vaping the first page of google results was all good! It's these 30 second clips on local news talking about popcorn lung that people are seeing but I would say the vast majority OF SMOKERS know that vaping is safer. It's the non-smokers that believe everything they hear. I've had smokers bring up these "studies" to me and once I tell them how I no longer wake up coughing five minutes straight they usually take our side. I've said before and I'll say it again fast food (along with junk food) is worse than smoking.

Until main stream media pulls its collective head out of its backside and does some honest reporting regarding e-cigarettes, publications like the Rolling Stone (which has a HUGE credibility problem) aren't going to help much.

The RS is respected. They cut through a lot of bs about the financial system that countered the status quo reporting at the time. There's been a number of issues with meat that have stuck. One of the biggest attributes is that it reaches a market that Gutfeld doesn't reach. RS isn't preaching to the same ol' choir.

I think there may be some 'crossover' of Gutfeld and RS. Others on Fox, (but not all) likely not :- ) I liked Gutfeld better when he was on Red Eye....

The phoney 'date rape' piece on RS hurt their credibility and respect, imo..... hurt but didn't kill.

I can't listen to Gutfeld. His attitude, name calling, vocabulary, tone is ugly. He sounds stupid even when I agree. He almost hurts vaping more than helps. I won't tell my friends to watch. He's good for preaching to the choir, not so good for rational reasoned debate and that's what we need to get into Dem's backyard.

This is advocacy,

I have always liked you as a poster, and appreciated your views.
But your post above kind of set off alarm bells with me.

It's important to listen to the message, even if you don't like the messenger.
Placing more importance on the messenger is a form of judgmental behavior that is frowned upon now.
:)

Tolerance is being preached so often these days, so why not extend that courtesy to Greg Gutfeld.
Or Rush Limbaugh, or Donald Trump.

People should be angry sometimes, and should be allowed to be angry.
I'm angry, but I just don't show it all the time.

I can't listen to hate. That's not about a valid opinion. That's trying to have a discussion with crazy.

I try to see things from their point of view and that would require me to enter their hate filled world. There would be nothing productive or valuable about that other than I wouldn't like myself. It's an ugly fear filled world they must live in. I don't have to enter it.

I can read/hear "truth" that shakes up the norm without the hate and anger. The hate and anger doesn't change or affect the opinion. I would like to think that's not partisan either, but it gets difficult. IMO, hate and anger are the american taliban.

He's better than anyone I've ever seen on the left (who can add humor to the reason). He'd run circles around likes of Bill Maher.

I can almost imagine how Bill Maher would speak about vaping politics, and .....

Heck, just decided to google what he would say and found this

You don't know me that well then.... see my posts on funy pics..... :) Much of my postings here, while serious are usually tweaking someone. I get more laughs from their replies. Interesting to know that perception though. Many got that from House MD too - serious/mean - I thought it was better and more humorous than any of the award winning sit-coms. At least the humor had some context - whereas sit-com humor is just Jon Stewart-type writers writing what would be 'stand-up' jokes, then writing some scene to deliver them, and usually not very "situational". Not that funny to me.

I thought House was the funniest show on TV in about 20 yrs. Or maybe 30. I couldn't get thru an episode without at least one full-on belly-laugh, and usually 3 or 4. :D

KrausAldo, I smoked for 53 yrs. and have vaped for 29 months. I should be dead two times over. Ha! :)

My stats aren't quite that impressive, but heading in that direction... 39 years as a smoker, now 17 months smoke-free. It's a miracle, truly. :thumb:

Obviously that's a matter of opinion.

Actually, touchy/feely works better there. And I agree, Greg isn't that, but for some, as I said, there will be a crossover. I know that from liberals I know who watched and liked RedEye when he was still hosting.

I'm watching the reruns on Cloo (chronological marathon) and still picking up stuff I missed the first 2 or 3 times through lol..... There's the case, then the 'internals' and the jokes.

I missed this one:

House: Yeah, sorry, that was me. I had to dope him up to get him in here. Guy doesn’t think he’s sick.

Cameron: Who does?

House: His wife.

Cameron: The woman you used to live with.

House: That’s her Indian name. On her driver’s license it’s Stacy. I assume you have a point.

There's a good joke (not appropriate here) that explains the 'indian Native American name' thing :- ) Most have likely heard it....

That was pretty un/ill-informed, but at least he got this part right
"But let’s not throw the bathwater out because of the babies. Let’s not have the rights of adults be once again be infringed by what some random kid might do."

Fully agree. And from watching House I learned a lot about diagnosing illnesses, including the fact that it's never lupus.

Except when it is. :D One of my cousins has suffered lupus for many years... but now has cancer. Poor girl just can't win. :(
