I have a huge update!

We are discussing an accessory bag people can purchase who already bought a v1 so you don't have to spend money on a v2. These are ideas so far on what will be included:

* top cap with larger fill holes.
* rigid insulator for 510 pin and possibly longer 510 pin, too, if needed to extend it
* chimney with slightly larger feed holes for high vg users who need it
* second JFC ring or adaptor for better use in single coil mode
* maybe an rda top cap so you can use your HIGO as an rda. How about giving me some feedback on this one? How many people would like that? If not including that would keep the cost lower I could live without it myself, but if many here say yes, I would like that, I will let them know. Well, I'll let them know either way. Do you guys want this?

I also made another suggestion for extra o rings in colors other than green. I suggested black, clear, red and blue. Aside from personalization, its always nice to have more than 2 o rings when its a proprietary one you can't buy just anywhere.

So please give me feedback :)

I like it!! Great ideer!!
But would hi vg users be forced to buy the kit, or might they raise the price slightly and include both decks in the initial purchase moving forward? I still think the tank would be a great buy for a couple bucks more if it included an option "hi flow" tank bottom, and all the other options you mentioned.

That sounds like a good list that would address the concerns I had about the HIGO. I don't have one yet, so I don't have experience with it, but I don't think I'd ever use a RDA top cap. Its already a RDTA type atty, I don't really see a need for a RDA option, but maybe that's just me.

A black option would still be nice, I know you've brought it up with them already, but I'd still buy the SS with the improvements if no black option is possible.

This is why I feel like these companies should do beta testing, or a focus group test on these devices before making several thousand, and shipping them to vendors. I'm sure it upsets vendors, and customers alike when they buy a product, then it gets revised/fixed weeks later. This happens all the time it seems like, and it seems like such a simple solution. Not trying to pick on focusecig by no means, seems like all these manufacturers do the same thing.

Yup we got them at the same time they went for sale at vapordna.
I agree I have no interest in an rda top for the HIGO. I have true rdas for that. let it be a killer tank! And if they want to utilize parts from it to make an rda, go for it and sell it separately. Id prefer a dripper with less confined juice wells

No question, I'd do whatever it took to get high VG out of this tank (besides modding it myself, as I don't have the tools nor the desire to do it.) Rather than just buy another RTA, I'd much rather make this one work.

I'm very excited to see what they come up with. I hope they take their time with it and I'm psyched to hopefully be able to use Max VG!

They will be releasing a revised version for the second production run. However, it won't be called v2. So this parts bag would be more a thing for people who already have a HIGO.

I agree. Everytime I've gotten an atty to test, its been a final unit and went to retailers before I could even offer feedback. Hey, send me the ugly beta one so I can be useful before it goes for final production and sale. I don't care if its ugly. Let me help work out the issues.

Based on my last email it does sound like they will do a black one, too :). With all revisions, of course.

Well, for a reference, I have not touched any other tanks, no aromamizer, mt, Bellus, no drippers, Ect for a while. Today is the third day of continuous use of the HIGO. After I got it sorted, I'm loving this tank. It rocks. I haven't even pulled the tank off or checked the build. Just keep refilling it. Probably has 50-60 ml through it and it's really really working well. It sits all night without leaking a drop, it refills without issue, using a unicorn bottle, despite the little fill holes. Flavor is just unreal. :)

Well mine finally came today!!

Let me start out by saying this was the dirtiest atty I've ever bought. Not only was it dripping in machine oil but it had black gunk everywhere in the build deck. So dirty that I hand cleaned it before I put it in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Once cleaned I could see a lot of scratches on the outer side of the build deck but, other than that, not a bad looking tank. Same problems as everyone else ie...510 pin too short, rubber insulator, small fill holes. Then there was a fairly major problem!!

I built my standard test build dual 26ga, .4ohm and wicked her up. Filled the tank through those stupidly small fill holes, side and bottom airflow wide open and the vape began. The vape was good but I was expecting more airflow. Then I closed the bottom airflow and took a drag and it was the same. Closed side airflow and opened bottom airflow and had NO airflow. Almost threw it across the room!!

So I take the build deck off and can't see much so I yank my beautiful coils to be able to see down the airflow holes. Well they were not holes, they were cups. The idiots didn't drill deep enough so I had cups instead of holes. By this time (I'd been effin with this tank most of the afternoon) all I could do was laugh!!

I called VaporDNA and they actually laughed as well. They sent me a new build deck and I already have the tracking. Hopefully it doesn't take as long as the tank did. VaporDNA said I don't have to send the bad deck back so I might fire up the drill press and see if I can fix it. Until then, it's like vaping a Bellus with green o-rings.

Sooooo.....go ahead, ask me what I think about this tank...for now anyhow!!! lol

That's a bummer about the QC. Someone needs to slap some heads in manufacturing. This'll definitely stay on my list since people who've got it working say the flavor is amazing, but yeah, I won't even think about picking one up until the quality is sorted out. I would be fine buying a tank+everythingfixedaccessories, but not if the price is much greater. Most likely not until complete, high quality units are available though, and ideally not in black. I'm not wild about paint on tanks anyway, and definitely not when there's already a problem with quality control.

Its pretty obvious they were in too much of a hurry to try to release before CNY :( However, they are replacing bad units for everyone who got one. They replaced ccwater's and Landman's. They even sent Landman's without seeing the pics as a favor to me. He was away from home and couldn't take any before their courier became unavailable due to CNY.

So, if you decide to buy and get a faulty one, PM me and I will help you get it replaced. However, it will now be after CNY.

I'm very unhappy that this was rushed and some are obviousy crappy :( But, they are standing behind their mess up (though making more work for me because its not like I'm being paid anything). I'm helping because I promoted this atty not knowing anyone would get one different than mine (or any of their other several attys I have, which all have nice machining), and because I've developed a relationship with them. I don't want want anyone to waste their money. I don't like when I get crappy things, and don't want anyone else to either.

I'm glad VaporDNA stepped up as well. A lot of retailers won't replace an atty because there's no warranty. And a friend had trouble getting them to replace a faulty mod that was their own model.

I, too, was impressed with VaporDNA. Don't even have to send the "holeless" one back.

It has been working fine as a green ringed Bellus and can't wait to try it with both airflows. Matter of fact, I'm gonna rip out the build and take it to the shop and see what I can do.

To me, the biggest con with the HIGO is the 510 pin. Someone not paying attention or a newbie could get themselves in serious trouble with a direct short.

I agree. I told them that immediately. It took a few days, but they agree with me now. I still don't know why they did that since none of their other attys are that way. Its not like this is their first atty.

Just thought I'd mention this so you don't end up with extra holes in your deck. Though you probably already know! The lower airflow holes are NOT straight through, they are offset. The top hole runs parallel to the bottom, they then meet about halfway through the end of each hole through the side So if anything you will need to come through the bottom hole from the side to open it up.

Thanx CC!!

My horizontal bore looks fine. I think it's the vertical bore that's the problem.

I still have 3/4 of a tank of a yummy OSDIY margarita juice and it's vaping "Bellus style" very well!! The flavor is exceptional with just the side airflow, can't wait to add a little bottom to it.
