Hippo Question

Bought my black mini on the classifieds. It comes with a Tatroe Base, Hippo, Twins, and a drip tip. I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting on my goodies. And no mail on Monday. Bummer.

Anyways, I know that a v2 Hippo was recently released. My question is what is the difference between old and new version. Thanks.

Hippo1 covers the ProVari taper to create a flush and flat-top, and has a 510 female receptacle with air slots much like the stock 510 for air flow. The Hippo2 is similar, but has an air passage through the side that can be adjusted by twisting the outer mass. Since the air comes in through the side and then the bottom of the tank, the tank is allowed to be fully seated flat on the flat-top.

I just have to try EVERYTHING for myself. Just seeing pictures online doesn't help me decide if I like something or not. Once I settle on a preference, I'll likely clear out a bunch of stuff. I'll be sure to offer it to our people before I go public in the classifieds.

Hippo seems a waste for rba's, well at least none of my rba's feed air from the stem. All mine have side air intakes. that's one of the small details I love about my rba, no more leaks onto the 510 connector head. Now the beauty ring would be sweet, but they are either to spendy or out of stock lol. Oh well, have to wait till notified. Looking at end cap extensions too. Probably just end up with the provape one, but like to have options.
