I use standard Boge cartos with an eGo Twist by themselves not in a tank. The QC is terrible and it can be really hit and miss. The air holes are often really off center, sometimes the filler/guts are a lot shorter, and some don't fire right out of the box. I don't know if it is per vendor because I have ordered them from so many different places. I usually do the condom method then drip onto the top after that, but the bad ones are usually bad right off the bat and I can tell immediately by the lack of proper sizzle. I just expect to have to toss 1 out of 5 in the garbage right away. I would abandon them altogether, but Halo Prime tastes terrible in a clearo and that is my main vape.

The wife and I have had the same luck with Boge Cartos, but we were putting up with it due to the great pricing of them over at MtBaker Vapor. We were getting some that the juice seemed to just pour straight though and out onto the table straight out of the box even with a toothpick in the center hole to make sure that was not the problem. Others loaded up fine but then would become really hard to draw, almost like it was clogged up. Some were like that out of the box and others got that way after just one or two uses. We use 65/35 light colored juices and the Boge LR XL's (although they did not EVER seem to hold the amount advertised). However on the almost rare occasion you found one that worked right, it was a great product and we could get lots of vapor, great flavor, and many uses out of it.

However we have finally had enough. I switched over to a Mini Vivi Nova about a month ago and love it. Tonight I talked the wife into trying a Kanger EVOD (based on the recommendation of others here...Thanks) so we will see how that goes when it comes in.

How are you filling the Boges? The filler is tighter and harder to fill. I fill them with a small needle only and have not had one issue with my wife and I both using them for over 8 months now.

I punch 2 holes then put in approx 24 drops of juice or till it floods (poking with a needle helps in absorbing juice), both the punch diameter and filling is consistent but getting some weird taste on about 40% of the carts. Getting cartos in bulk that puts them under a buck a piece so tossing them is not really an issue but time and juice consumed are. Based on that I am favoring the smoktech dual coils but wanted to see if there was something amiss with my usage.

I use Smoktech single coil laser pre-punched cartos from Smoktek.com. Believe it or not, your juice blend and also the juice itself can affect your cartos performance.

Im not knocking the Boges, Ive just found that Smoktech works better for the kinds of juices I like.

Yep my Smotech cartos are pre-punched, Boge's are not so require punching. Could be the juice favoring Smoktech but does not fully explain every other Boge that performs flawlessly! Next bulk buy will be Smoktech most likely, nothing like repeatable performance. Wish there was a way to screen the dud Boge's prior to filling em up n tasting the yuckiness!

Boge has had recurring QC problems for some time now. I recall when they were excellent, carto after carto and box after box. Over the past year, they have become only so-so, a real hit-and-miss. Lately, I've been using the "Cloud Maker" cartos from SVC. Good performance and long-lasting.

SVC "Cloud Maker" Steel Cartomizer

Makes sense, I am new to cartos so do not know about the QC issue history. Will definitely try the Cloud Maker, thanks.

I found a work-around, key is to vape these at the lowest power setting you get acceptable vapor/flavor/TH. I like to use 8W on single coil cartos with my RY4, at 8W I get some Boges to give the weird taste and some to perform flawlessly. Have to chunk the bad ones. Now if I use 6.5 to 7W, I still get acceptable vapor/flavor/TH and all Boges perform equally! So it appears to be a thermal issue that gets highlighted by some cartos at 8W and above. Looks like I will be able to use all of my Boge bulk buy purchase :)
