I forgot to mention, my youngest made snickers cake for dessert. It was a chocolate cake covered in caramel and peanuts covered with another layer of cake and chocolate chips on top. I could only eat a small piece. It's really rich but good.
CES, no marathon yet. There is still cake left but I didn't have any last night. I did two miles on the treadmill and a little bit of weights instead. I've just about given up on getting rid of my love handles. My wife doesn't mind them but they drive me nuts. I'm not a health fanatic but do exercise regularly and eat fairly healthy most of the time. Evidently I'm taking in more calories than I'm burning. I'm just about done worrying about it.
it's age-related. has to be. my metabolism changed in the space of of 3-4 months and the only change i'd made was consistently walking 1.5 miles per day (which, not so coincidentally, is also my marathon pace )
