hi people, birmingham uk..
ive been using ecigs for a year now, i bought an aspire speeder with a revvo tank a couple of months ago. found a site that told me the basic wattage to voltage, so just went with what they said.
so 0.16 ohm coils and i use hangsten liquid 70 pg / 30 vg, wanted more flavour and i thought getting a high pg would do it... but i think i could get more flavour out..
read something about the sweet spot, but dont know if i should increase watt/volt or what really.. at the moment i have 3.6v and 66w at 200degs c
could do with some advice, hope someone can help me.
thanks

200 degrees C? What mode are you using in your mod? Wattage or TC (temp control)? Since you are a relatively new vaper, I recommend that you be in wattage or power mod. Wattage is simply simpler to use for a beginner.

IMHO, its a falacy that higher Pg ratios give more flavor. I once bought my favorite flavor in both a 50/50 pg/vg ratio and 100% Vg to see if I could tell a difference in flavor. There was no difference other than the 100% Vg made more vapor. One of my two current all day flavors is a 100% Vg e-liquid and it has great flavor.

Getting the best flavor is the end result of finding the perfect combination of a good e-liquid, a good coil, good wicking, the right air flow, the right temp setting (or wattage setting). Some flavors are better at a lower wattage setting (ie fruits), while other flavors may be better at a higher wattage setting (deserts, coffee, tobacco flavors). Some tanks are better known for flavor than others, some are best known for making more vapor. The coils themselves will have a recommended wattage range, and even a "best at" wattage range; these are simply recommendations and you can go lower or higher safely.

It comes down to finding your own so-called "sweet spot". Experimentation and trial and error.

Basically, to find your sweet spot, start with a new well-primed coil. Start at a low power setting, and gradually increase the setting in small increments. When the vapor begins to be too warm or tasting burnt, drop the setting a few notches. That should be your sweet spot. Make adjustments in the airflow of your tank to see if that improves the flavor.

I'm not at all familiar with your tank, in fact I have never heard of it.

Hi and welcome I've heard mixed things about the Revvo tank, it just may happen to not be the right tank for you.

For sub0hm, I'm not entirely certain that high PG is necessarily the right choice, a certain amount of PG can be userful and it IS a flavor carrier to a degree, but most sub0hm coils are designed to vape moderately high VG so you may be getting sort of a weak, anemic vape out of it that may need to be vaped at higher wattages than you really want (which can affect flavor) or just plain isn't doing much as far as your vape experience at all.

I would try different coils, at different wattages and use different juice flavors (which all may have their sweet spot as far as taste and wattage) and if you continue to get no Joy so to speak, maybe check and see if any other manufacturers make coils that fit the Revvo tank and if they do, try some of those.

Also, some folks just have trouble tasting flavor especially early on or just like highly flavored, some juice makers will add extra flavor if requested. I guess you could TRY that.

I suppose if all of the above fails, I'd try a different tank or even a rebuildable atomizer if you are up for the challenge. The Crown Uwell (original or three although many like the original for a variety of reasons) gets good reviews for flavor as a sub0hm tank. If you want to get into an RTA there are tons of good choices which I am not the person to tell you about them, because I'm not a sub0hm vaper, although I will say that most of my MTL RTAs do deliver excellent flavor, etc, although I also do still use drop in coil tanks as well.

It sounds like a flavor thing to me... You are really REALLY trying to draw out that flavor. I can tell by the PG ratio. 70% is a heck of a lot. I think you are only setting yourself up for disappointment later. My own personal opinion is that you don't need more PG. You need to find the root of the problem. This could be your problem. Hangsen liquid is Chinese. It is 'interesting' liquid... hardly the same as anything else on sale. They do a few quite good flavours but, gosh... I don't know what to say. It's flavoursome (I mean, they put enough flavor in there) but it's always so damn weird. Dekang is even weirder.
Try the £1 e-liquid company and go for the fruity ones to start. Just not the tropical or lemon and lime . I like the Blackcurrant, the Apricot, the Lime and Strawberry and the Heizen. Not the best ever, but reliable and certainly enough flavour. Some of the tobaccos are weaker in flavor. The RY4 is totally bland, dude. I still buy it!!
